I was playing "Mall madness" with my little cousin today. I remember playing that when i was really young! what are some of your favorite board games? Recent or ones you remember from your childhood.

Miss Marina and LatinaRose, I loved Mall Madness too! I always got a kick out of the male voice saying "Go to the restroom" and "Try again later." He sounded drunk when saying "Try again later." LOL

When I was a middle schooler, I enjoyed Girl Talk, Girl Talk Date Line, and the Sweet Valley High board game.

I also like Monopoly, Scrabble, Scattergories, Trouble, Sorry, The Game of Life, Pictionary (even though I can't draw worth shit), and Trivial Pursuit.

My younger brother and I used to play Monopoly all the time and he would get soo pissed when he lost. I'd have to keep playing until he won just so he wouldn't have a tantrum. LOL

Snakes and Ladders, Guess Who, Monopoly, Trouble, Sorry, The Game of Life, Doom (yes the electronic game has a board game version which is decent), Uno (does that count?) ...

These are the ones I can remember.

I loved this game called, I think, Pretty Pretty Princess. You won the right to wear fake plastic jewelry. My favorite though was The Game of Life.

I remember that game...but I always hated having to wear the yellow (I think it was yellow) jewelry. Nobody wanted to be the "ugly" color. Ha!

ETA: I always loved Monopoly, Candy Land, Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders...uh...there were some others, but I can't remember right now. I do remember Mall Madness, but I never had that game myself.

Oh...we did always love that stupid Saved By the Bell game...dunno how I remember THAT one.

chess. I know might sound weird but it's true. I literally hate that game now, thank the parents for forcing a game upon a child.

I'm a Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, Taboo, Scattergories and Cranium kind of gal. Though I was just, literally moments ago, saying I seriously need to get back into chess one of these days.

I SHOULD like Scrabble, but I have Scrabble damage from a mom who was a total champ at it & knew every colloquially useless but strategically practical word in existence (when's the last time you used "qua" in conversation?!?). And Monopoly always felt like a long word problem on a math test to me - it's just me, a total personal problem. I can see why others have such fun with it, I'm just SOOOO not-even-funny bad at it.

You should try Sex Scrabble. Sexually oriented words count double.

But best of all is Strip Chess...

I am also into board games no sane, normal person would ever play, which are these historical military simulation games. Some of them are so complex and detail oriented, they make chess look like rock/scissors/paper. I have only met one woman who was into it, and what was funny is, she kicked my ass the one time we played, lol--but she was brilliant.
