Default help, from anyone here who makes costumes?

I'm looking for something that I don't know the actual term for, so it's been hard to search for them.

They're metal ring-like pieces, kind of like a circle with a piece through the middle (looks like those circle/slash things that you would draw over a picture of something prohibited, lol), and you can thread fabric through them. Does anyone know what they're actually called, or better yet, where I can get some?

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about...if you look at the very first gown on the page (aside from the black polka-dot one in the avatar), the gold one...I want that brass ring:

I've got someone making me a few dresses, and I want to use one of these rings in one of them. So if anyone can give me any helpful info, I will be your willing love slave forever. Or at least for a week.

Also, the regular metal o-rings, like the ones on this dress:

Anyone know where I can get those?

    Edit:

    Ppppbttt, you said that.

Oh yeah.. and I know that Joanne's totally sells them. Check the handbag accessories isle.

I swear, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what those rings would be called- I love when outfits have those. Do they sell ones with rhinestones?

Some are called D-rings because they're shaped like d. The first one you showed is a buckle. That's a hot look right now! There's a whole bunch of cool shapes and colors. I'm going fabric hunting tomorrow and the notions store is one of my favorite stops. That's the general term for 'em--notions. Happy hunting!
