    Default Knocked Up-----the movie

We went and saw this movie last night and it was pretty good. It is actually laugh out loud funny. We thought it was a tad too long, but we think that about anything over an hour and a half. Katherine Heigl is definitely more appealing in this movie than she ever has been on Grey's. And the guy who plays the baby daddy is absolutely hilarious.

Bonus: Paul Rudd is her brother-in-law in the movie........verrrry cute.

I want to see that. I love the whole 40 year old virgin cast and he's the dad right? I'm glad it was funny now I can convince people to go see it with me.

That move was hilarious!!! At first my husband was kind of reluctant cause it seemed like a chick flick but it's not, he laughed more than I did. Definitely see it

That's good. The previews put it in the "so stupid I won't watch it when it's free on TV in two years" category for me. But I'm glad it was more enjoyable than that.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Arguably the best hybrid of guy flick/chick flick since Jerry Maguire. Only like 10x funnier.

Too long, too treacly, great cast. Katherine Heigl is no Catherine Keener. I love all those dudes, though, and urge all y'all to go watch Undeclared DVDs. But how lazy was it leaving them with all their real first names? No script for real?

Oh, the reviewer for Slate is a moron; she's all, "Judd Apatow can't write women; how on earth would she have ever slept with him?" Please. She was drunk and he was funny. I've done worse than Seth Rogen (in the distant drunk past) for sure.

    This movie sounds really fucking stupid to me. o.O;

I mean, isn't the entire premise that some girl gets knocked up on a one night stand so decides to be with the babydaddy?

Yeah, actual crowning scenes during the birth were disturbing. Even more disturbing was the nauseating sentamentalism attached to the whole reproductive process. They had a one ngiht stand that she regretted greatly because he was fat, ugly, and unrefined. But, for some unknown reason she decides to keep the baby and, during the course of the gestation, they fall deeply in love. Her sister and her husband (with whom she lives) serve as a constant reminder throughout the movie of what a horrible idea it is to marry someone who knocks you up as they are horrible for eachother and fight constantly. But the message you get at the end is that the sweet little babies that result from drunken hookups somehow make up for all that is lacking and everything will work out.

LM, you would LOVE it. Run, do not walk.

i saw this movie and it was hilarious! i hated 40 year old virgin, but this movie had more of a "chick" appeal to it. I think the crowning was definetly uncalled for, and yah i agree the message wasnt that great either
but i would recommend it, highly! very very funny

haha i also had a dream i had a baby the night i watched it - it freaked me out lol!

but yeah before it came out my b/f was begging me to go see it with him so i did. haha but yeah i thought it was funny....it was sort of like a chick flik but it had alot of stupid guy humor so the men can dig it too.

i liked the part where they were cussing eachother out in the nurses room, and then she apoligzed to the nurse, and the nurse replied, "its ok, it happens here all the time"

haha. i think my b/f laffed at it more than i did. especaily the part when they were trying to have sex when she was preg, and the baby daddy sugessted doggy style. she got upset and said "so, u wanna fuck me like a dog?" and he answered, "noooo its not fucking you like a dog, its just the style!"

i dont know, i mean the plot was pretty cliche, but it seemed new. i think the message was for them to "work it out" , and to take responsiblity for their actions (getting preg!) so they worked out n became a couple yay! instad of getting an abortion or just giving iup on eachother.
