    Default any hair pros here?

just got my hair done like a week ago. the girl was skilled, but i didn't communicate that i like being blonde-blonde with low lights. she made me a honey dark blonde with low lights. its too dark! she put a toner on that "toned down the blonde". is there a toner I could use to lighten up the blonde?

Don't do anything yourself, go back and make them fix it.

It's so hard to tell, even from a pic. You just had dye/bleach, you want to go lighter, anything you yourself do might just make it worse/damage hair. Not to mention, products that non-licensed people buy are not the same as what professionals get. When I had my hair f*cked up a couple yrs. ago, I insisted on getting my $, & didn't trust the people who did this in the first place. You can try to find a pro wherever you are. Make sure that it's someone that specializes in color correction. Be sure you deep condition. Good luck, let us know what happens.

There's nothing besides bleach that will lighten hair, unfortunately. All you can do is deep condition the heck out fo your hair, so that when you go back, your hai ris in the best condition possible for the beating its getting.

She'll most likely have to start all over, to get to the sahde of blond you want. Perhaps, to avoid having to get all over bleach THEN lowlights, how about just try heavy highlights? Then the honey-blond color right now will become the lowlights you want.

It'll probably lighten over time especially with it being summer and all. I use to bleach my hair and I put a permanent dark color on it back in November. It's faded quite a bit since. Yours will probably do the same. If you want it changed now though I'd suggest going back to the salon. They should make it right.

Nope, once hair is colored the only thing that will lift color is bleach. However, toners are demi-permanent so your hair should gradually get lighter with every shampoo.

To speed up the process, switch to the most moisturizing shampoo and conditioner your hair can handle (without becomming greasy) and use a clarifying shampoo 1-2 times per week. The clarifying shampoo is pretty self explanatory... Professional color treated hair care products are formulated to be a balance of moisture and protein. The moisture "molecules" of ultra hydrating shampoos and conditioners which do not contain protein grab onto color molecules and force them out of the hair resulting in faster fading.

In about 10-14 days, you should notice a signifigant diference in the lightness of your hair, but you may want to get and another highlight because your hair will probably not be blonde-blonde.

Thanks for all the input guys, appreciated!

I went tanning today and washed it with that john frieda blonde in a shot stuff (I honestly think its crap, but what the hell!) and its looking considerably lighter. Yay!!
