    Default I think I've improved, but the $$$ hasn't

    So I've hit a slump.

Ive been dancing for 6 months. When I first started back before christmas I was making decent cash. Everyone said it was the "slow season". Well summer is here and im making 1/3 of what I was making before.

Im upset. A month or so ago I started to take this really seriously. I lost a bit of extra weight, fixed up my appearance, worked on my stage performances... and its just getting worse. Everyone says "Wow you look great!"or "That was an awsome stage." and im getting it from a lot of different people, so they can't all be lying.

    BUT IM MAKING LESS MONEY!

The only thing I havnt really changed much is my approach to selling and my conversation(selling) skills. Ive noticed that i used to get 2-3 dances from one customer. Now I usually just get one. Not many people are taking me upstairs anymore, even though I ask every time. Is my speil getting old? I just dont get it, and im getting frustrated

Maybe you have to shake it up. Not even for their sake but for your own! You might be bored with your spiel. Tomorrow I'm buying $100 worth of fabric. Wanna know why? I'm BORED with my costumes. I designed 'em last summer and they were the hotness up until February and ever since they've BORED me. Time to revamp! Same thing, you gotta tweak your pitch so it stays fresh and sounds spontaneous so even YOU are delighted by what you're saying.

i've said it before and i'll say it again. sometimes you have to take a break, reevaluate and refocus. what i mean is, sometimes keeping the eyes on the prize comes thru to the custy. like, you are only a robot who is after their wallet.
take a vacation, get a massage, remind yourself how much FUN yoru job is. tell the customer repeatedly how much you're having. because dammit you ARE having fun. believe it! this WILL work, swear.

Hmm no offense, but is it your club? I revamped my entire hustle and it was awesome, but the money in the club was just no longer there.

Lately there have been a lot of girls posting on here that they're making a 1/3 of what they did earlier this year. It's happening all over the world - London, Canada, throughout the US.... Hell, I'm in the same boat as you. I too have been dancing for 6 months, and right now am averaging 1/3 to 1/4 of what I made only a few months back. So I think a big part of the problom is the customers (or lack thereof) being more tight fisted with their $ lately. Plus in the summer people go on vacations, spend more time outdoors, spend more time with their kids who are out of school, etc. etc.

If you're focusing on how little you're earning that'll only make things worse. The guys can pick up on frustration easily, and it doesn't make them want to spend $ on you.

Do you have an alternate source of income? If so I suggest dedicating more hours to it and just dancing on the side until later in the year (when hopefully the $ will come back). That way you won't be as stressed about dancing, and when you come in feeling less pressured you'll actually make more $.

you know what, im not making 1/3 of what i was before. maybe most girls are but im not seeing this slump. i think slumps have to do with the dancer usually. but i also think, as CK said, it's a revamp needed but very well could be the club. i say revamp your hustle and if that is not it, and the club's not really busy, go look at other places to see if it's the season (most places have a slow season) or if it's the club.

I don't know if this is the case nationally/internationally (and I'm sure it's not), but here in Texas at least, summer is the slow strip club season. Maybe you just need to give it a few months to let the money come back...

for lots of girls who are working in middle of the road clubs, the deteriorating economy IS taking its toll on the amount of 'discretionary expense' money guys now have in their pockets which can be spent on luxury items like strip club outings. With every passing month, their taxes are going up, their credit card payments are going up, their utility and gasoline bills are going up, but their paychecks are NOT going up. The difference has to be made up somehow, and often this means that the guys make fewer trips out to clubs and/or spend less money when they get there.

I just started dancing at clubs again after working bachelor parties for a bit. Now I'm at a really nice club I want to stay at, but I'm making nothing! Granted I'm working days and my hustle isn't as tuned as it could be, but the place is empty!!!! I used to make lots more $$ at small clubs but they were not as nice as the place I'm at now.
Should I chill out, work on my hustle and wait till I can work nights or should I try out the small clubs again? The creeper dudes trying to get sex at the small clubs were horribly annoying, but maybe I should suck it up to make some money...
