Are there any strippers that are Republicans?
I would have been a Republican a few decades ago, but these days I'm more of a Libertarian. I'm not a member of the Libertarian Party and I actually identify more with the old school Republican Party, but modern Republicans have completely abandoned their base and are now corrupt, tax-and-spend liberals just like the Democrats. So I'm most likely to vote Libertarian whenever possible.
Why do you ask?
Ya know. I'm gonna sound real pathetic right here.
I just don't know what I am. I would say I am nothing at all, but probably liberatarian, not that it would matter. I shun politics. I only voted for the first time last year to vote against the anti smoking ban, and it didnt help at all.

Well Im a law student and I still dont have a political persuasion - that's a bit wrong I guess.
Libertarian: non-anarchy, minimal laws

A thread full of libertarians. I am very impressed. I knew there was a reason I liked this place.

I'm a democratic secular humanist.

Atleast half of the strippers I work with that I know are republicans. I'm kind of inbetween I guess, I don't consider myself either. I was raised a republican though. I'm also wondering why you ask?

*holds up her Libertarian sign*
You're absolutely right, that's a much better way to put it. Thank you.Your assessment of the GOP is dead on except that instead of tax and spend, they are borrow and spend.
Although for some reason my own taxes have increased considerably under this administration.
Ok really stupid question but...what exactly is a libertarian?
Basically, it's what the Republican Party SAYS they stand for but don't.
Based on that link, I'm leanin more towards being a libertarian now.

Libertarians can be many different things. I really liked the Wikipedia explanation. I thought it was very fair to the principles of libertarianism. I have quite a history of libertarian activism. I finally dropped out of politics about 10 years ago. I still maintain that libertarian ideal. I just focus on utilizing it in different ways. Primarily the manner in which I deal with others.
I would have to say I have become quite apolitical. Which in a sense is a basic libertarian principle.
I think if more people knew what libertarianism was...AND more importantly if the leaders of the Libertarian party were more reasonable in their expectations about what they can do...MANY more people would BE Libertarians.

Have a look at the Member Boards section- you'll find plenty of right-wingers.
Myself, I'm a die-hard, lifelong pinko.
I think "libertarianism" is an overly fancy term for "common fucking sense."
Anarchist who occasionally votes green.
I kow it NA to Aussies but since some of the others have answered...

^^Probably true....scary, but true.
Libertarian here.

Don't know what party honestly. I just go with what I feel issue by issue as much as I can.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.
