Default Has anyone lost a lot of weight, then started dancing?

Hey you guys. I'm a newbie here.

Currently I'm in the BBW world...model/entertainer/other.

I'm curious about dramatic weight loss.

I was a scrawny kid, a twig as a teen, and gained a LARGE amount of weight about 6-7 years ago.

I really haven't done anything thus far to try to lose it, but now I want to lose it.

I'm making good money now, but I want to be smaller just because...I don't wanna be 30 and fat one day. Also, I just ...I want to be smaller and feel more active, healthy, and normal. PLUS...let's be honest...the market for being universally HOT to most stops at around a size 10 and about 160lbs max.

What are some tips and exercises I can do...for quick, quick results. I need to see an immediate result (like, within a month) for me to continue, because when it comes to myself...if something doesn't seem to be working I just quit altogether.

I know most of you ladies are all fit and petite and toned...but please...help me out?

Any diet pills that actually work? Any diets that actually DO take off 20lbs in the first month?

I know it's gonna take me probably 2 years or more to get where I really want to be... but I need to see a change...now, basically.

    Thanks in advance!

Really 'dieting' is all about eating right. I lost 30lbs in '05 to go back to dancing. Now, I workout and take diet pills with ephedrine in them. I get them from a friend b/c I cant buy them in the US.

Everything and anything that takes off 20lbs in the first month is an ED or something else very unhealthy.

If you do a search using the search function at the bottom of the Body Business section you'll find a ton of diet and workout advice.

Diets are quite unhealthy and do not lead to long-term weight loss. And loss of 20 pounds in a single month is VERY unhealthy, it will not give you the "active, healthy, normal" feeling you want, and it will leave you with a lot of loose skin. You should aim to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week, and the only way to do that is to burn more calories than you consume.

Cut out junk (you already know what's good for you and what isn't), eat smaller portions, only eat when you are actually hungry, and drink plenty of water. Do at least 30 minutes per day of cardiovascular exercise, whether that's brisk walking, swimming, stairmaster, whatever. This is the only sure-fire way to lose weight and keep it off. I do guarantee though that if you do this, you WILL look and feel better in a month. You won't have lost 20 pounds, but you'll have improved.

    (*off to take own advice*)

If you try to lose weight really fast, it will just becoem a yoyo diet, and you wll gain back, and kill yoru metabolism in the process.
The only way to lose weight sucessfully is to become healthy as a lifestyle change, not as a quick fix.

You gotta stop with the junk food and bad eating habits, and start eatign healthier, each and every day. You also gotta add exercise, each and every day, in some form. Even if it is just a 10 minute walk every day, it is setting the tone for healthy lifestyle changes, and that is the key to losign weight and keepign it off for life.

So evaluate your life. What is unhealthy in it? Do you drink alcohol on a regular basis? Eat fast food? Snack all night? Pick unhealthy snacks? Eat mostly high fat, low nutriton foods? Do you get any exercise? How much?

OK. Now you knwo where your bad. Evaluate where your good.
Do you liek fruits and veggies? Drink a lot of water? Like to exercise?

Now figure out where you need to make changes and start making them, a little every day. Tomorrow et a healthy breakfast. Even if you do nothing different, just starting the day off with a good breakfast can set the stage for the whole day, and make you feel good.
Also, do you drink soda? Don't cut it out just yet, but switch to deit, and add more water. The mor ehealthy beverages you drink, the less bad beverages you will have. Try to have just 1 or 2 soda's a day.

If McDonalds is your vice, switch to somethign healthier ont he menu. A grilled chicken sandwich and a small fry. Limit fast food to once a week.

Small changes every day will not onyl help you lose weight, btu set up a healthier lifestyle that will become habit, so that you can lose weight and keep it off.

Trying to lose weight to fast wont work.

You may be able to jump start a diet with a juice fast, and lose 5-10lbs in a week, but after that healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week. And If you do a juice fast, but go right back to unhealthy eating, you will just gain back th weight. It's all about a lifestyle change and a complete shift if you eating/exercise habits.

    Good luck

I just know... I'm gonna have to save up some money for a couple of months and budget wisely so I can just spend like 6 months doing nothing besides working on my body. Because if I step out of the BBW market, I'll just be average for a while until I get into the great body market, you know?

So the Atkins thing doesn't work? They make the 20lb claims. What is healthy, really in terms of how much weight to lose?

I got a gym membership and have been getting on the treadmill for an hour 3 times a week. I've only lost 3lbs in a month doing that. The way I sweat, I was thinking I would have lost like 10 or more.

I know I really need to eat better. I eat a lot of rich cultural foods like sweet rice, toast and cheese, a lot of olive oil and lamb cooked in butter and onions admitting that is embarrassing. I could exercise forever but how do I just say NO and eat better? How can I just say no? Food is my issue, not the activity part.

Anyone on here ever lost 50lbs or more (not including pregnancy weight or medical issues) and how did you get the willpower?

BTW, I want to lose a Nicole Richie...aka...80lbs.

Edited to add.... what I am looking for is a jump start in the first month. I expect the whole process to take like 2 years. But I need some motivation.

Atkins can work...but not as a quick fix. If you want to lose the weight and keep it off using Atkins, you have to commit to a life without bread products, regular soda, starchy vegetables like corn and potatoes, and any sweets with carbs (cake/brownies/cookies). I, fo rone, could never have a life without my muffins and bread

Honestly, losing 20 lbs. in a month is unhealthy, you will put it all back and more.

You should expect to lose no more than 1-3 lbs a week. If you currently eat very unhealthfully, you may lose much more the first week (for instance, I used to drink 8 cans of soda a day...when I cut that out and replaced it with water, I lost 7 pounds the first week). Losing the weight gradually allows your metabolism to keep working, and also shows your body adjusting to new, healthy habits.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but really, it is a lifestyle. Try doing cardio consistently at least 3 days a week, and start weight training (weight training allows your body to burn ore calories, even when you're just resting) Try and keep a food journal to see what your weaknesses are (such as eating inf ront of the TV, late night snacking, etc) and also to see what might sabotage your diet. Try and cut out unnecessary calories, such as soda (I speak from experience...at 150 calories a pop, it's just not worth it), breakfast muffins, etc.

I used to weigh 175, all through high school...and through dieting and exercise, I got down to the 120-130 range. I have since creeped up to 140 (college beer and late night eating KILLED my diet) but now am back on track and am down to 135, and am working towards getting back down to 125.

Tell someone about your plans. If someone else knows you're trying to lose weight, it's almost like your accountable, so you dont want to "fail" in their eyes, and you'll try and stick with it longer.

I know saying "no" to food is hard. I'm the type of person who always has to nosh on something...if I'm sad, happy, bored, whatever. The first thing you can do is to clear your cupboards of all "bad" foods. I'll use soda, as that is my biggest weakness. I would buy it, and say it was a "treat" for my cheat days...but I would chug it late at night because I missed it. So, I realized I simply couldn't have it around. If it isn't there, you cant eat it.

Take a picture of yourself, naked or in a bikini, and put it on the fridge or cupboard. I would look at it, realize that's how I would look on a beach that minute, then find myself not so interested in eating anymore lol. Set rewards for yourself, such as for every ten pound syou lose, a new top or shoes or whatever.

If you're like me, and eat, even when watching TV, try doing things that will keep your nails busy. I've become a champ at doing manicures with elaborate designs because I'll sit and do my nails instead of eating. Maybe try knitting or drawing instead, anything to keep your hands busy.

I'll also buy clothes that are too small for me that are adorable, so in order for me to wear them, I'll have to lose weight.

I fill a milk jug with water flavored with lemon. When I'm just sitting, I NEED to have something in my mouth, so I'll drinkw ater. It's filling. Often your body is just thirsty, not hungry.

If you have a craving, wait ten minutes. Go on a walk, read, something. Usually the craving will pass. If it hasn't, allow yourself a small portion. One scoop of ice cream, for instance, not 4...that's usually plenty to satisy.

Also, I seriosuly recommend weight training. It's the best way to sculpt and transform your body; the cardio just helps melt the fat so all the weight training work shows through. But because muscle is heavier than fat, you may not lose as much weight as you think you must. I recommend taking your measurements, and recheck them every 2 weeks or so. Your measurements are a much better indicator of progress than the number on a scale.

Wow. I wrote a lot haha. Good luck to you, if you need advice or someone to yell at you to go workout, feel free to PM me. I always need someone to yell at me to get up and workout instead of being lazy.

Adkins works, but in my opinion, it is not healthy to cut out carbds, or any other fod group. Your body needs a balance of everything, includign fat. ( the healthy kind)

Like I said, a good amount of weight to lose is 1-2 lbs per week.
A good jump start is doing a juice fast for a few days, then turning to healthier eating.
Start by eating a week of fruits and veggies, and good whole grains, then go for 3-5 days of a juice fast, then break the fast with a few days of fruits and veggies, brown rice, stuff liek that.

That will help ya lose a good 20 lbs the first month. BUT YOU WILL GAIN IT ALL BACK if you go right back to bad eating.

You can start looking at switches to make to your diet, like I switched from butter to butter spray, with no calories. I fry things in a little olive oil, then use that butter spray to give it a more buttery flavor. I switched from sugar to Splenda, and then I completly eliminated sugar from my diet.
I switched from Pepsi, to diet, then to green tea, now mostly water.

I switched my morning ceral from Honeycombs or fruity pebbles to whole grain total, or oatmeal.

That sounds pretty boring. You'll definitely need something else to do; exercise should only take 2 hours a day, max. Throw in another 2 hours for cooking and you've still got about 12 waking hours a day to fill up. Don't get obsessive about weight loss or you'll disappoint yourself.

Like I said, 1 or 2 pounds a week. Anyone who claims you'll lose 20 pounds in a month is not promising a viable, long-term, healthy plan. (I'd also be willing to bet that includes a lot of water weight, not fat.)

Well, that second part answered the question in the first part. You probably would have lost that 10 pounds if you weren't adding back in all the calories you just burned off. The ONLY way to burn fat is to create a calorie deficit - burn more calories than you consume. That's it.

Change what you eat. No sane person is going to say you should go hungry (that's what diets are for, and it's why they don't work). Just eat BETTER. Instead of sweet rice, have brown rice cooked in spicy veg broth. Instead of cooking your lamb in butter and onions, brush the lamb and onions with a little bit of olive oil and fire up the grill (or broiler). Don't feel bad about olive oil, it's good for you (just don't drown the food in it). Get better quality so you get more flavor in fewer bites and are satisfied with less - for example, get good, cold-pressed, extra-virgin olive oil instead of the cheap "pure" kind, which is just fat with little flavor (so you pour on tons in an effort to taste it). Snack on fresh raw fruits and veg. Learn to cook with spices instead of butter. Et cetera... this is a lifestyle change, not a fad diet.

I lost about that much when I was about 15. Basically I was tired of being the fat kid and I wanted to look like the sexy Playmate I knew I was. I was a vegetarian and I LOVE fruit so it wasn't that hard; I just had to cook more veggies at home instead of going out for fries, and replace soda with water, and exercise every day. Within two years I was a size four and actually just a little bit too thin (then again, that's with a teenage metabolism, so it might take you a little bit longer).

Good luck. You CAN do this, you just have to be strong and stick to it. Within a few months it'll be habit and it won't be so much effort once you're used to it.

Yeah, I lost a bunch of weight a couple of years ago before applying for dancing work again. I did it in the usual, slow way- dieting. It took a number of months. You can't shed all your weight in a month if you have more than a little to lose. Resign yourself to the fact that it's a process. (I also gained most of the weight back after a car accident and recently finished losing it all again. It took me nine months of careful eating, with an olive oil supplement).

I got the willpower by being sick to death of my fat self. Also, a Shangri-La diet supplement will help with problems of excessive appetite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shangri-la_Diet).

I want to second the thing about losing weight fast looking unattractive. It sort of fucks up your skin.

You'll also just feel faint all the time and either become very ill or start bingeing and gain it all back...and more.

Better to do things the sensible way. It changes the way you think about food so you can have a good body for life, rather than for a short time.

I like to focus on having more protein, fruits and veggies and water. I eat everything though. I'll still have toast or something, but make the portion of fruit and protein bigger, for example. And lots of water.

Oh yeah, supplements help a lot. When I take them, I don't get the munchies as often and my skin, hair and nails are nicer.

*raises hand*, yep, I lost a little over 50 lbs over about 6 months time. It came off slowly and plateued at 133 pounds which is when I hit the gym. I contribute keeping my weight off from learning healthy eatting choices as opposed to a "quick fix".

^^ Thank you, this is really great advice. I was at the mall buying bath n body works and I walked past a store I *used* to shop in...that I can't shop in anymore. I am definately gonna try buying some jeans that don't have stretch.

I'm an eater now. It's a bad habit I started when I was going through a depression. When I was younger...I wasn't much of an eater. I'd kinda eat lil snacks from like 7am and then stop before noon. I think I like, created an appetite.

I gotta leave the cheese and toast dipped in olive oil soaked tomatoes alone but that had been my breakfast for YEARS. I mean...my grandma used to say it kept you healthy. Heh. Maybe back in Morocco when she was carrying live goats for 5 miles on her back to take them to market to sell. A lot of my eating is comfort foods. I have memories and feelings attached to food and food is kinda like... a hobby. Sick, right?

I almost feel like I wanna go to fat camp or something. Cuz I seriously don't know if I can do it in the real world.

It's like...I was skinny all my life...then got fat and just...stayed fat. It never bothered me, I always felt beautiful...it just started bothering me cuz I started thinking about it. Maybe I was in denial and just didn't realize it

I'm gonna try for a week. I can do a week. 7 days. I can be good for 7 days. But man, I need to see some results like, really bad. Or else I'll give up.

It's just a damn shame. My mom is over 60, still has perky A cups after having 4 kids. She has maybe 3 stretch marks right around her navel and that's it. No cellulite, no ripples, no rolls. And I gotta listen to her complaining about how she's gained 15lbs and has to buy size 4 now cuz she is old and fat.

when i was around 21, i went from a little over 200 pounds to 112 without really 'dieting' - i cut out all beverages other than a single cup of coffee (black no sugar) with breakfast, and water...i stopped eating out (cooking for yourself makes it much easier to control what and how much you eat - most restaurant portions are HUGE)...i realized that i didn't need dessert after every meal, and that a craving for 'something sweet' could just as easily be fixed with fresh fruit as it could with ice cream, but i never denied myself a SMALL amount of junk food if i really really wanted it...i stopped keeping junk in the house though, and made a deal with myself that i could only have it if i wanted it badly enough to walk at least half an hour to get it, and half an hour back home...

in order to maintain weight loss, it's really more about little changes that you can maintain for the rest of your life...eventually i got involved with a guy who just loved to cook and eat, and put 30 pounds back on in a little over a year...i've lost most of it again now, with lots of little changes (walking instead of getting a cab or taking transit, stairs instead of the elevator, fruit instead of candy etc.)...the best part is that i don't really feel like i've changed anything because it's all been gradual...

You might try the south beach diet then, AmberHoney...read the book b/c it explains everything in far more detail than I can here, but basically it starts you out like Atkins (low/no carb, high protein, unsaturated fats i.e. olive oil) for about 2 weeks (though you can choose to stay in this phase for longer if you want), and then it gradually re-introduces "good" carbs (i.e. fruits, whole grains, fiber, etc) into your diet, so you end up with a balanced mix of grains, protein, fruits/vegetables and good fats. So you get the jump-start like with Atkins, but it tapers you off so you don't have to go the rest of your life without carbs of any kind (which would be hard to do and not quite healthy anyway.)

I'm 5'1"(ish) and used to weigh like 145... im down to 110 now... I know it doesn't seem that big of a difference but on my frame its a HUGE difference.

I found that cutting stuff like soda, chips, white bread(substitute it for whole grain), pasta(again whole grain its a great substitute) and greasy food made a huge difference FAST. Also lots of cardio is great. Go to the gym then go for long brisk walks.

Im a bored eater... like if im doing nothing I want to eat so I need to keep myself busy.

I admit though when I started cutting compulsive snacking out of my diet I started smoking more lol.

I tend to keep something like breton crackers around for when I really need to snack. They're not too fattening and having a handful will keep me satisfied.

Also celery is a great non fattening snack food as well.

Adding CLA with tonalin into your diet helps as well. When you have a dramatic weight change your skin will suffer the CLA helps.

Also if you ever feel like your going to crash come onto SW.. the girls here are a great support system.

    Good luck!!!

Also... maybe seek a personal trainer if you can afford it... they're great motivation and will help you achieve results fairly fast!!

Also just to add... after I lost the weight I admit I went back to a shitty diet(thanks to traveling a lot lol) so my weight jumps back n forth a lot... and if I take a week off work I tend to gain 10lbs in the blink of an eye don't be like me lol... keep your diet!!! After you achieve a dramatic change though don't be afraid to treat yourself once n awhile... just don't make it a daily thing lol. Like say once a week allow yourself your fav fattening food..

if you are losing weight through eating less and exercising more (the correct way), you ought to splurge calorie-wise at least once a week, sometimes twice and mix up the days you do so. like, do 1200 calories for 5 days, then eat what you want for a day, then back on 1200 calories for 4 days, then eat how you please for 2 days, etc. it keeps your body from getting attached (so to speak) to the lower calorie count and allows you to gracefully move up to eating a maintenance amount of calories once you get to your target weight.

also it helps stave off that feeling that you will have to always watch every little bite you eat for the rest of your life, which can lead to a feeling that there is no point in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and diet. because ultimately you should be eating how you please anyway-- if you enjoy what you eat, you end up happier and eating less unhealthy stuff in the long term.

I've been eating rasin bran as my breakfast and usually chicken cut up into salad and some rye toast for lunch/dinner. that's been for the last few days. i slipped up and had a breast from KFC last night though, cuz my brother had a 2 breast meal and it just smelled...so...good.

i dont really get around to dinner. i haven't eaten since like 7pm yesterday and i probably wont until 2 or 3 pm.

my grazing hours are usually between 2pm-8pm.

does that small meals through the day thing actually work?

I like the idea of a cheat day...but i'd have to put a limit on my cheat day.

because...well...i don't see Wendy's going out of business anytime soon...and i might try to spend the night there on my cheat day

Small meals throughout the day works great. I do best this way, with lunch as the biggest meal. When I'm at my healthiest, I have breakfast when I wake up (coffee and oatmeal, or an English muffin with hummus, maybe some fruit too), then lunch around 11 am (pasta with a ton of veggies, or chicken with veg and salad, stuff like that). I'll have a snack, usually a piece of fruit and a piece of cheese around 2 pm, and then a light dinner like a bowl of soup around 5 pm, and another little snack about 8 (a salad, or a piece of cheese, or a 100-calorie lite ice cream sandwich).

You shouldn't go through life feeling hungry. If you eat more often, then over the long run you actually wind up eating less, because you don't feel as hungry when it's time to eat. You also convince your metabolism that there is plentiful food, so it burns more fat instead of storing it.

I'm not a believer in diets, calorie counting, or "cheat days." It's not worth building your whole life around food, and it sets you up for failure. "Cheat days" also tend to encourage a punitive mindset about the other days, and you can also overindulge by thousands of calories and undo everything you just did during the week. You don't want to see foods in the "reward vs. punishment" sense; just look at it all as food. The best way to go is to just make long-term healthier choices in what you eat, and eat less of it.

I see no reason why you can't have your cheesy bread with olive oil and tomatoes for breakfast. That sounds good, it sounds high in protein and healthy fats, with a little carbohydrate for the brain. Just use whole-wheat bread, a more flavorful high-quality olive oil, and have it early in the day so you can burn off the fat. And have ONE piece of it, not five. It's little changes like that, that make weight loss viable and permanent.

Thats all youve been eating? I hope not b/c thats not enough calories for you. 3 meals a day and I bet thats around or less than 1200 calories.

Like Yek said small meals throughout the day really is best. Lately whats been helping me is nectarines, bananas, cantaloupe for a miday before lunch snack. Not all three but 2 servings. Then its protein, carbs, veggies for lunch. Snack usually 5 crackers and hummus. Dinner is protein shake. If working late I eat again but small salad with chicken no cheese no carbs. I could probably add something else like more veggies but it changes every 3 days or so.

Small meals definitely help, as does eating before you are actually hungry.

I have found that working out before breakfast really helped jumpstart my weight loss, but you still have to eat a decent breakfast.

Just raisin bran isn't a substantial breakfast. You need some protein in there to help keep you full and get more nutrients. You should try to have some fruit/veggies and protein at ever meal. Maybe try an egg-white omelet, or scrambled eggs, with some fruit, whole wheat toast, and a glass of skim milk.

For a snack I'll buy those big packages of frozen vegetables. I'll microwave a bowl of broccoli or whatever, and nibble on that. It's lots of fiber and it's filling.

Lunch is usually tuna (I make mine with mustard because mayonnaise is so fattening, but you can find mayonnaise substitutes if you dont like mustard) with a salad (greens and veggies only, no croutons, no cheese).

Another snack is usually fruit. If I absolutely HAVE to have chocolate, I'll put a tablespoon of low-cal chocolate sauce on a plate, and dip just the tips of my fruit in it. It's enough to quelch my chocolate craving, but still eating good fruit.

For dinner, usually grilled chicken and a bowl of vegetable soup.

I drink about a gallon of water throughout the day.

As for the cheat days, I personally dont make it a "eat whatever you want day". That mentality completely ruins your diet; it makes eating well look like a punishment, rather than a lifestyle, as Yek said.

When I get cravings for say, Wendy's, I tell myself, "If you still really want a burger by Sunday (my cheat day) you can go then to get a Whopper Jr". By the time Sunday comes, I'm usually so proud of staying on my diet, that I dont really want that burger. But if I havent gotten over the craving, I go to Wendys, and get a burger, mustard an dketchup only, no cheese, no mayo.

Do NOT think you can do whatever on a cheat day. You could consume enough calories to completely ruin your diet. I allow myself ONE treat, and even that is in moderation. Have a small bar of chocolate or a small piece of friend chicken, but not both.

When I am at home at night on my days off, I tend to snack in front of the tv...so I buy the precut bowls of fruit and flavored rice cakes. If you are eating watermelon and rice cakes, it fills you up quick and makes you feel stuffed without actually consuming that many calories. It is a nice way to "pig out" when you have the urge.

My roommate got me into eating raw broccoli dipped in mustard, we always keep a selection in the house. I love it but I cannot eat it before work...to gassy.

I see you have already gotten alot of great advise from the women here.. they always have great advise . I dont post often and im not a dancer yet b/c i have been working on my body but that is my intention and actually im going in next week to audition after this af is done and ill be posting my update soon.. ok so to the point of your post..

Last year i weighed 183 lbs im 5'2 i weigh 125 now. Getting initially motivated was the hardest part for me.. after that it got easier. Alot of getting motivated is your mind set.. you have have your mind set on losing the weight as well as knowing when to not eat and changing your food choices.
I have not went on any diet or used any diet products b/c i know when you go off the diet you will gain weight back most likely and nobody wants to be on a diet for the rest of their life. The key is to change your eating habbits and your lifestyle completly. Also keep in mind the more you have to lose the faster that comes off.. when i first started i lost 15 lbs in the 1st month but now of course my body wont let me lose 15 lbs in a month b/c im at 125 lbs that would be very unhealthy for me. Try to alternate cooking with butter by using a butter flavored spray or spinkels instead ( i used to cook in tons of butter) Buy the leaner meats such as 93-97% ground beef opposed to 75% it really makes a difference. Eat true portion sizes.. it dont seem like much and thats a big change at first ( i think i used to eat 3 portion sizes for a meal ) but i eat more times per day now. 3 normal portion meals breakfast, lunch and dinner then 2-3 small snacks. I used to never eat breakfast and sometimes lunch but id load up on dinner and snack on high fat foods all night long.. If you like cheese use fat free or low fat cheeses rather than reguar cheese. raw fruits and veggies are great snacks and dont forget to drink water (this was a big issue for me at first .. i really hated it) if you hate water try flavored water fruit2o is pretty good, water is great for your metabolism and cleans your body out + it has nothing in it which is great.. less calories your body has to burn off. For ea. 20 oz regular sodas you drink thats about 200 extra calories, so if you drink 6 that could be your whole calorie intake for the day and i used to drink at least that much I do drink coke or sprite zero once a day with dinner now. It is hard to change your eating habbits but once you do it for a while it does get easier. If you have a bad day dont worry just do better the next day.. it wont set you back much as long as you dont give up.
Excersise.. i never used to do it, i hated it. I do it now 5-6 days a week, I cant say i love it now but i dont hate it.. its just ok lol. I do change it up everyday so it stays interesting and i find it more effective. I do 40 mins a day now. One day i may do eliptical, 1 day treadmil, 1 day bike, or i switch it up 20min/20mins if i feel like the time is going really slowly. somedays if its nice out i go and run a track at the park.. or if it gets late and i dont feel like going to the gym or outside i just workout to on demand videos at home. I also do some low weight training strength excersises 3 days a week on no set day i just do it whenever but i make sure its 3 days a week.
Figure out what works for your body and stick to it, you'll get there when you set your mind to it. Good luck!!
