Prince Harry visits Calgary cowboy bar

Partiers at a Calgary nightclub were in the company of royalty early Thursday morning when Prince Harry paid a visit.

The 22-year-old prince was accompanied by three fellow British soldiers and two plainclothes RCMP officers, witnesses said.

They arrived at Cowboys Niteclub at 12:30 a.m. and partied until the bar closed around 2 a.m., according to a marketing manager for the club's owner.

Harry was dressed casually and not immediately recognized by the club's doormen, said Scarlett Lee of Penny Lane Entertainment. He declined to choose a private area of the club for his group, she said.

It was ladies' night, and according to at least one female staff member, he did not disappoint.

"He is the prince charming - he's very polite and nice," gushed Cherie Cymbalisty, 22, who said she recognized the third in line to the throne.

Cymbalisty asked if he was the prince, and he responded by showing his army ID. Then, before he left, he kissed her on the cheek.

"It was hot," she said.

Prince Harry has been in Alberta for the past week to train at Canadian Forces Base Suffield, near Medicine Hat.

Harry, or 2nd Lieut. Wales as the British military refers to him, is being trained for possible deployment to Afghanistan.
