Saw it on the news. And now I guess they're gonna make her serve her entire 45 day sentence. Now that's justice.

HAHA!!!! why???? did it say??? hellz yeah... i'll toast to that at my new club tonight!!!!
The point is, she's going to be more famous/infamous when she leaves jail. Her PR handlers will find some way of cooking this "experience" into her silly fame bubble, and she'll make money off it somehow. Just repulsive.
Apparently during the original sentencing the judge specifically said that she was not to serve her sentence thru work release, house arrest or electronic monitoring. The sheriff let her out in spite of that, and he may be held in contempt of court. Hope the payoff ('cause you know someone got paid for letting her out) was worth it.

I don't know. I think she's tacky and disrespectful, and my neighbors rottweiler has higher moral standards...but for someone who's never suffered a consequence in her life past a hangover, I think there's a slight chance if she serves the full term she will learn something.
I'm kind of indifferent about this today, kinda like I don't really care either way. But, I don't think she will learn anything from it to be honest. She will be like she always have been when she gets out, in my opinion.
^^. Yes. When will Paris and her family realize that this is actually a POSITIVE thing for Paris? Would they rather her just not take responsibility for her actions so she can get behind the wheel drunk again so that she could kill someone else-or even herself??
I like that judge.
Her court appearance was delayed by 2 hours today because the sherrif REFUSED to pick her up stating that he had ultimate jurisdiction over her and he was NOT going to follow judges orders.
Wow.....someone whos ego is bigger then Paris' He'll be lucky if he isnt fired over this....deliberatly disobeying a direct court order??? Yikes. He was the one who decided on his own that she could go home too and didnt bother filing the paperwork with the courts to ok it. He's just making it worse for her.
This is getting ridiculous. Make the girl serve her time and get over it. Stop fucking with her..thats just cruel. It's actually making me feel sorry for her. She deserved her punishment...but she doesnt deserve to keep getting her chain yanked so every sherriff, judge, whoever can get some publicity out of it

do you think that the courts are just making an example of her?

Sh0t, everyone understands that driving is not risk free. There are no guarantees of anything in life, but it is about the fact that the odds of someone who is drunk having an accident are MUCH greater then those who are not drunk. While she didn't hurt anyone "yet", by driving drunk she chooses for everyone else on the road, without their consent, to increase their risk of being mained or hurt in an automobile.
!!!She does NOT have the right to choose that for me (or for anyone else). !!!
Personally, I would have said, "No thanks, I'd rather not be on the road with you Paris" had she asked. But she didn't give me or anyone else that choice, she just increased their risk because she wanted to, not because they wanted it.
Similar situations would be a doctor who wanted to operated on us drunk, or an airline pilot who decides to fly a commercial airliner drunk, or a schoolbus driver picks up my kids or your kids drunk. They don't need to commit a crime or accident FIRST before we can say NO, it's not okay. It's not okay because they are increasing our risk and that is not not okay.
Also driving is not a right, it's a privilege. Paris had options including drinking at home, a cab ride, a designated driver, a chaueffer, or not getting drunk. Nobody is taking away a fundamental human right from her, they are simply saying travel via some other mechanism, or don't drink.
By and large, the majority of people understand and agree on the simple concept that it's enough to know that the odds are much higher that someone who is drunk is more likely to fuck up. No actual accident needs to occur before we choose to enforce this. The majority common sense wins (thankfully).

Thats hot.
Oh someone had to say it. Need to just get this media frenzy put away, have her serve her time and get everything about it out of the media.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.
THe sheriff is being an ass and screwing things up for everyone. No, he prob cant be fired...but they can call for a new election and throw him out.
'Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her 45-day sentence. She'll get credit for 5 days already served.
Hilton left the courtroom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom, it's not right."
One witness said that Paris was "physically escorted" out of the courtroom by a female deputy.
Hilton's mother was later seen pacing the hallways, telling reporters, "I'm paralyzed right now." Paris' father Rick is still in the courtroom.
A Sheriff inside the courtroom tells TMZ that officers are taking Hilton straight from the courtroom to Lynwood. No timetable has been set on her departure.
TMZ has learned, Hilton's lawyer will appeal the judge's ruling. That appeal will be filed either late today or Monday.

Crazy Paparazzi Crush as Paris Hauled Off
Paris Hilton has just arrived at an L.A. courthouse in cuffs, and if things don't go her way, she could be spending the foreseeable future in jail.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the reason the hearing was delayed for two hours is because the Sheriff's Department refused to follow the judge's order to pick up Hilton at her West Hollywood home. We're told the Sheriff believes his department has exclusive authority to decide where Paris goes -- not the judge."
What an egotistical ass....

the poor girl! This would by far be the worst part of her life! I for some reason feel that the courts are making an example of her to give the 'We don't care if your a celebrity, we are going to punish you'
It isn't fair that a murderer gets 210 days in jail and Paris gets sent to jail for 45 days.
Taking her to jail then letting her out then dragging her back in again is just cruel!
I wish that her family would talk to the media or release something surrounding this dubacle, it would atleast put my mind at ease that they are protecting Paris!

Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.

everyone types so fast! Reading that her family is distressed defintely enforces that they care for their daughter!
I do admit that she should not have been driving drunk, but couldn't it be better for her to have her license suspended?

Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.

oops hehe I should observe the media more often!

Don't worry about it, I hear all of mine second hand from reading forums. I'd rather not hear about most of it, but damned if work just doesn't get boring at times.
One can only hope this whole experience will help make her a better person, and that the media will cool the fuck off from the Paris orgy of news that they like to create in their world.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.

agree! there are many other important new in Australia (like the newcastle floods) that effect me then Paris' jail problems,
I think her family are enablers. My mom would say, you're dumb, you fucked up, see ya in 45 days.

i don't like her, i do think she deserves her 45 days....however that sheriff is an ASS for making her think she can go home only to be snatched back to jail. that's just mean.
but she should be back in jail and deal with it.
