Default Ok, So I Gave the Girls Next Door Workout Video a Try...

I was at a friend's house and decided to try Bridget's Bunny Bootcamp on ExerciseTV.

Um...OUCH! I could barely make it through all the squats and lunges, but it was much easier because she isn't annoying like some of those fitness video coaches can be.

The only downside was that she talked about food a lot during the video...."I love pizza, and this workout keeps me in shape even though I eat that kind of stuff."

I was totally craving junk food by the time it was over...yeah.

Anyway, I did get a pretty good workout from it. I had trouble making it upstairs to the tanning bed, and I had an even harder time making it back down (can someone say jello knees?).

It's much better to watch...ya know...because it isn't some middle aged woman. They do take advantage of that fact, though, and focus on their...um...assets...at various times during the workout.

I'm seriously thinking about checking this video out myself...so I guess it's worth it? I remember the episode when they were doing the filming of it...all Bridget did was whine, whine, whine!!! So annoying!

I think it kind of depends on what you're looking for. It could have been that the lunges were hard for me because of my bad knees, but I was pretty sore this morning.

I just liked it because it didn't have that weird 80's kind of feel to it. I guess you'd probably have to like the girls to want to exercise with them.

I did (and this is so bad) WATCH part of Kendra's section, and it seemed harder than Bridget's. I never got around to check on Holly's section, though.

I love the girls next door. Yeah...Kendra is a work-out fitness freak...love her for that. Holly seemed pretty mellow about the whole thing. I usually just do tons of squats, I don't like lunges at all...I feel they're bad for my knees, too, plus I have no balance. I'll probably check it out.

Try the Firm if you want some good modern workouts. I got my set (comes with a step) at Target for 60 bucks and it comes with 3 dvds of workouts. I had 5 lb handweights that I use. Good workouts!

I would like to see the GND workouts, but I don't really respect them as fitness instructors and don't want to invest any money in it, ya know?

I don't think it would benefit anyone who is a hardcore workout addict, but it's not bad for someone that wants an easier workout at home that doesn't involve some weird person as the instructor (you know the kind I'm talking about).

Either way, I got to see it for free since it wasn't at my house and wasn't my cable!

Um...it was either under dance (that's where I was when I found it, but I don't know why it would be there) or in a section by itself (under Girls Next Door, I guess).

^ My mom went back to look for it when I told her about it, and she said it wasn't on there when she tried either.

As long as you aren't like an uber workout goddess it's probably worth getting. I liked it, anyway!

I borrowed this DVD from my friend and thought I'd review it for y'all.

DVD consists of 3 workouts - Holly's 15 Minute Express (which is a stupid name b/c they are all 15 min), Bridgette's Boot Camp, and Kendras Conditioning. Kendra's contains the most cardio, but I really like Holly's workout the best. Bridgette bothers me. Plus Holly has a hot bod and wears a cute outfit that shows it off really well, so I find her more motivating b/c I WANT THAT BODY!! haha. Anyway, I don't think the DVD is all that. They should have done more varied workouts between Holly and Bridgette. They should have also done at least one workout that was at least 30 minutes. Yeah, you could do them all in a row, but each one contains an into and warmup/cooldown and it's annoying to skip it when you're in the middle of your workout. I would also like to see a group workout with all 3 girls, which this doesn't have.

Overall, it's okay, but there's much better DVD's on the market. I would rent before buying.
