    Default Deja Vu Theory

Just read an interesting article about some research about why people experience deja vu. Worth a look if you've ever wondered.

If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.

hmm. That does make sense. I also think it might be "remembering" a dream that you've had but don't consciously remember.

That is fascinating. I used to experience Deja Vu a lot when I was younger, but haven't had it in years and years.

Smoking marajuana is supposed to fortify the brain against Alzheimer's, and I didn't become a regular pot smoker until my early 30's... If the article is valid, then maybe I fixed whatever was causing my Deja Vu??

Same here, I had quite a few experiences with it when I was younger. But in my 20s and now my 30s I've not really dealt with it at all but maybe once every few years. Maybe when your younger the brain is so messed up from hormones and rapid growth errors like that are more common. Since now we are more stable and our brains are not as chaotic that could be a factor.

Lots of things are believed to help prevent or slow down Alzheimer's but it depends on your risk factors and family history. Everyone is different too.

My psychology professor told us that deja vu was when your subconscious registered your surroundings before your conscious did.

So I'm not psychic? jk What about when you get it years later? It happened to me recently as a friends party. It freaked me out for a moment trying not to let others know I've been here before in my head. Yea I'm weird.
