Default Under eye Circles and Restylane?

So I've decided I'm going to get Restylane for my laugh lines and I"m not too sure what else beyond that and maybe a lil' fluff to my lips that it'll be good for.

I'm not looking for anything drastic just a lil' upkeep. My laugh lines piss me off. I think they age me. They are more noticable due to weight loss etc

Anyways., since it fills in lines ..what about under eye circles.? mine are more hollow and not from lack of sleep. it's from the lack of fat under my eyes

Creams dont work. makeup wears off rather quick etc. A girl at work had hers literally cut out. I'm not wanting to go that route.

Anyone ever heard of fat injections to help with that?

I think I remember Melonie posting some information about this quite a while back. It was collagen she was talking about.

You and I have the same undereye thing going on. If you figure something out you better tell me about it, sister.

I just started getting mine the last 2 years. I think I notice em more because I do NOT tan at all. If I tan they seem to be less noticeable.

I'm going to go to a medspa and have it done ( the laugh lines and lips ) how about Im so scared about seeing a needle come at my fucking face. Blech.

I like how I pussy out on shit like that yet gave birth to toddlers.

I have the same fucking problem due to weight loss as well, shit is annoying.

I'd like to get something more permanent though. Anyone know of any? I think Restylane lasts up to 6 months.

That would be great if it turns out to be good. I have dark undereye circles bc there is NO fat underneath them but Im not willing to get a needle stuck in there for only 6 months relief!

Hehehe, no, she just got 25k in stock, actually before it was even made public or approved by the FDA in the U.S.

So it's been dormant. I'm gonna see her today and tell her the good news!

Restylane does a good job but of course it's not permanent. Mine started wearing off about 6 months after I had it done and was gone completely after 8. Unless you have a HIGH tolerance for pain I would not get it under your eyes, even if you can get it there (I don't know). I've had botox before and restylane was probably 3 times more painful and that's with the numbing agent they put on your skin first! I would not be able to stand it without the numbing I'm sure.

But it does really good in the laugh lines. I had plenty left over after they filled the laugh lines so they also filled in a little scar on my cheek, and in the corners of my mouth to lift the corners a bit. I loved it though, can't wait to get it done again!

I heard that the reason Artefill is so expensive is because it's permanent! Here are some links with info and before and after pics... I'd like to try that Thermage...anybody done that?

I would love to have something done about my undereye circles as well! The day that I just couldnt take it anymore was the day that I let an old boyfriend see me without makeup on for the first time and he said, "Honey, you don't look bad. You look very heroin-chic." I said, "Thats it! Fuck these circles!" I defintely dont want to look like some junkie when I just dont have any makeup on! Sheesh!

It is apparently quite painful. You can buy a topical anaesthetic from the pharmacy too apply about 20-30 mins before u get the injections.

I've had restylane in my laugh lines. It lasted for well over a year. It does hurt like hell.

A word of caution: If you have any tendency of redness at all, please DO NOT take any ibprufin within a week before your treatent. I ended up w/ huge redmarks, (not needle marks, but a weird sort of bruising), that I had to under go about five months of lazer treatment to get the marks to fade.

My right side is fine, but I still have slight scarring on my left side. I don' t know if it will ever go away. Also, you can't work out for around three days after you get the injections because you are not allowed to sweat.

I think the derm I went to over injected me and I do have a tendency or redness in my skin (my Dad is Irish/American).

For the first two weeks, my cheeks looked obnoxiously high and it was difficult to speak without lisping. When the swelling went down, it looked good. As long as I had make-up on to cover the redness.

I had some custies say they didn't remember me looking so young. So, it does work.

Oh yeah. After my experience, I would NEVER get it done under my eyes!

But that is just me and my circles aren't really bad. I take an iron supplement and I think it helps clear that area up.

I had Restylane injected into my tear trough/undereye area about two years ago. It was beyond painful, but I liked the results. Unfortunately, it didn't last that long - only about 3 months. Juvederm is supposed to last longer, but I have not tried it.

Make sure that you see a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist. A trainer for Allergan or Q-Med would be even better. Watch out for Artefill - it has a tendency to clump and cause granulomas. And don't take any aspirin, ibuprofen, or Vitamin E starting two weeks before you're scheduled to be injected.
