    Default starting Aveda

Well guys, good news, I was accepted into the Aveda cosmetology program and I start next month. This is my chance to make a career out of something I enjoy doing and become independent. Wish me luck.

    Yay, I'm happy for you!
    GOOD LUCK!

I've actually considered going to the Aveda school, but I just don't have time at the moment (I'm in school) but please keep us updated, because I want to know how you are doing

That's funny. I've been thinking about beauty school today and I just searched for threads about them and read yours from when you were looking into it - good to hear you enrolled! I hope it's fun.

Yeah, my mother did hair as well. She also did a lot of painting, she was a very artistic person. As I have gotten older I find that I am more artistic and could use an outlet. Doing hair and make-up relaxes me. Some of my family and a few friends come to me for haircuts, color and perms. Since I enjoy it so and already do it, mind as well go ahead an earning living at it

Well I for one have NO doubt that you will be very successful! I'm sure that a lot of women will go to you just because you're amazingly beautiful yourself. It's kind of like when someone searches out a personal trainer. They want someone who is fit and healthy themselves. Your hair & makeup is perfect and that tells me that you know what you're doing

Oohhh, how exciting if you're artistic you'll love it, minus all the childhood crap that goes on there. I'm "older" and try to stay as far away at all the cattiness.
I am in school now also. I have two more months left before I graduate.. I already have my manicuring license. So now i am back for the hair part of it. And I LOVEEEE it. Lovvvvveeee it. I love the beauty biz. Good luck. Ask me anything if you ever need any help.

sounds like you have a natural talent for it. That sounds like a great decision and you will always have a talent that you can earn money with.
