And Lord knows he did so much for women that were real victims of sexual assault with this travesty.
Ass.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

Yep^
I just finished reading, "An Innnocent Man", by John Grisham. The DA mentioned there is responsible for at least 6 innocent men (2 now still in jail) incarcerated on death row..
MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP
-Eartha Kitt

That whole thing was a nightmare that didn't have to happen. How many real cases were ignored because they weren't splashy enough? Those guys were nearly burned at the stake! How are they going to recover from being victimized by 'the system'. Horrifying! What the hell is wrong with that guy? He's the DA from hell just trashing whatever hapess victim who comes along. What if they had no money to mount a decent investigation and defense? THEY'D BE FUCKED!!! They should sue that fucker for all he's worth and see how he likes having his life ruined!!!
“What a caterpillar calls the end of the world we call a butterfly.” - ECKHART TOLLE
This is one of those nightmares that most everyone can related to, and fears. The thought of being falsely accused, plus have false evidence presented, spending years in jail for something that didn't happen, having one's entire life and reputation ruined, spending all of one's savings on a legal defense, all because... someone else has too much power and feels no shame in abusing it. All I can say is that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Given a choice between a guilty person going free, and an innocent person being falsely accused, I prefer the former. And the DA should be jailed as far as I'm concerned. Not because he is going to learn something, but because it may deter other DAs and LE in similar positions who are considering abusing their power.
