You can place it in the oven, not on and wait for it to get ripe. I don't lik eit really but I don't think there is much that can be done while green.
Look up recipes for a thai papaya salad if you're feeling adventurous. Green papayas are good for dishes like that, julienned into strips and mixed with a little oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and chili. The sweeter red papayas are good for dessert.

That's what I was planning to do with it when I bought it, Thai salad. I was just wondering if there was anything else to do with it. I don't have any green beans or other ingredients. Would it be good if I just grated the papaya and mixed up some sesame oil, lime juice, soy sauce, and sriracha to put on it?





You can also make an exotic juice out of it too. With coco, mango, and pineapples...or whatever you prefer.
