    Arrow Eyelash Conditioner?

Does anyone use any? Any product recommendations? I wore falsies yesterday to work and a girl commented on how nice mine were. Then she started scaring me, talking about how she used to wear them all the time for work, until they started breaking off her natural lashes.

I have nice, long, thick lashes. I wont want mine breaking off

    Any advice?

I take biotin supplements and apply olive oil on them at night (when I remember)

How much Biotin if you dont' mind my asking? Also, what kind of Olive Oil? Reguarl, extra virgin, extra extra virgin? You're applying the oil to the base of your eye, where the lash grows out of?

I take 5000 mcg once a day. The olive oil is extra virgin and I apply it (softly) to the whole lash.

^^ I don't know about applying oil to the lashes, as I think that would pose a risk of clogging the glands, making you prone to getting styes.

But I also take 5,000 biotin once a day, plus the biotin in my multi and hair pills, I get about 6500 every day total.

Your lucky. I have to wash my eyelashes every day with baby shampoo to stop natural oil build up because I am very prone to styes. I have 2 right now, LOL. One on my upper lid, one on the lower lid.

Ok, I have a mascara wand from my makeup kit that I've never used, so I applied the Olive oil to my hand and ran the wand through it. I coated both sides of my lashes, from base to tip. Then for fun (didn't want to waste the extra oil) I rubbed it on my eyelids..

I also popped 2 of my walmart vitamins (I haven't taken them in months) so we shall see.

Golden, do you apply the oil before bed everynight?

CK , I normally average about 2 nights a week.

You should really get some Biotin. It makes your hair and nails strong too.

Yep. The eye doctor has looked at my eyes extensivly and says they look clean and free from any makeup build up. Since I wash them every day with the baby shampoo it removes every bit of eye makeup, and I onyl wear eye makeup when I work, which is only 2-3 days per week. I'm just very prone to styes and pink eye.

The 2 I have now just won't go away, I've had them for 6 months, they aren't huge swollen and painful anymore, just small red bumps, the eye doctor said last time I saw him give it 3 more months and if it don't go away, they will have to cut them off( which is just as painful as it sounds, apparently)

So....my eye appointment is next week, and I have to schedule the consult for the lancing. ew.

Anywho....sorry for threadjack. Guess if you've never gotten styes, it's not as much a concern for you, but I do worry the oil can block the glands and give you one anyway.

definatly take biotin. it works miracles all over yoru body.

Falsies shouldn't cause breakage even if worn ever day if they are used properly. Like don't pull them off, use baby oil to soften the glue, and don't apply them directly to your lashes, they should go right above the lashes, but not actualyl touch them.

    Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash.

$100 on Ebay, worth every penny. It makes your lashes grow very long. Pretty soon you won't need false eyelashes because your lashes will honestly be that long naturally.

A lot of people have had good luck with Revitalash as well, which is a little cheaper than JMAIE, but I found it to be a less concentrated version of JMAIE as well.

I was reading about this product on Amazon earlier today. From what I read from buyers is that the active ingrediant that was once in this product is no longer included in the product. So now, it's just ineffective....

I'd rather dab on olive oil than spend $100 on a wand of product that can't even give me a $ back guarantee that its effective in actually growing out lashes.

The active ingredient *is* still in Revitalash, albeit in a more diluted form.

I had a bottle of the old JMAIE and it worked fantastically. I just bought a tube of the new formula and will be testing to see how it compares to the old. But the reviews I've read thus far have been positive.

try almond oil. i use it to remove my makeup, it conditions your lashes and actually makes them grow, it really works! just apply it on your index finger then rub your eye area (it may itch a little the first days, but then you'll get used to) . remove the makeup and oil stain with toilet paper and once they're clean, apply the oil again on your finger and blink on it so your lashes get oily. then go to sleep and wash your face in the morning

For an update, I'm still using the Jan Marini and it does work, albeit more slowly than the old formula (or I could just be used to it).
