Child care concerns

Hi ladies! This is my first post although I joined a long time ago when I used to cocktail. Anyway, I'm very interested in dancing and I'll be auditioning at a club as soon as the last of my baby weight is off. I have one problem and that's childcare. I don't have any family in the area so I was wondering if any of you had any ideas for me. Maybe calling a nanny agency or something that does nighttime child care? Do any of you have kids and live away from family? Thanks!

There are some daycares that are open 24hrs. Men and women work all shifts now a days, including 3rd shift. It shoudltn' be to hard for you to Find one..I'm pretty sure there is one in your area.

What club are you auditioning at?? I'd recommend the Cheetah-- I LOVE it, and I'm definitely going to miss it when I move.

I don't know of any 24 hour childcare centers in Sarasota (I've worked and volunteered at 3 different centers in highschool prior to becoming a dancer.. lol) but you will probably have better luck hiring a nanny or a babysitter to work late. There are a LOT of high school students who are experienced in childcare because theres a really good vocational program.. so you could put an ad in the paper-- try creative loafing- it's a good local paper.

Thanks girls! I don't feel so clueless anymore! I'm actually planning on auditioning at Cheetah, I used to cocktail there so I know the club and like it .
