Default Pole Tricks and Muscle Size

I looove my pole tricks. They're fun and they make me feel all special. But, I've noticed that my arms and pecs have been getting larger than I want them to... which makes sense... not a lot of reps with heavy weight (that would be me, hehe). It doesn't help that my body builds muscle pretty easily. I'm thinking about just nixing the pole tricks. Does anyone have this problem? Are there special tricks for this problem that I just don't know about?

Some people just build muscle super easily. I can do reps out my ass and I won't bulk up, and others, like you, can barely do anything and build it up fast. Maybe concentrate on more ground work, but still with the pole? That way you won't be lifting yourself up constantly, which is the main reason you're bulking up.

Do you climb mainly hoisting up your body weight with your arms, or do you use your legs? I'm sure that pole tricks will give you some definition, but most girls won't look like body builders because of them. I remember you saying you wouldn't be dancing much longer, if that is the case, keep doing them if they make you happy.

Or maybe less strength tricks, and more spinning tricks.
And try stretching more before and after work, or do pilates, that lengthens muscles so you won't look like He-Man in stripper drag (I doubt you do though, just saying it sounds like what you are worried about).

I didn't notice any difference in pec size, but I did get rounder, harder more solid shoulders and to a lessor extent, biceps. I don't mind the bigger arms though, I like looking like I could kick someones ass. It suits my personality. haha! The size difference just looks worked out but not like mannish at all. It was a very small increase in size for me, but I think its an improvement 'cause toned arms look so good and healthy.
From your avatar pic I dont think your arms could be getting anywhere close to mannish or unattractive. I think you could pole away and not worry about it.

Unless you recently started taking steroids, I highly doubt your muscles will get much bigger. You'll probably end up just looking more defined and lean.

Exta stretching and regular Pilates will help you use your body better so that the muscle development that does happen will be more flattering. For instance, instead of "building up" your upper lats and traps, you'll learn to use the LOWER lats and traps to create more of an hourglass sillhouette.

    Strength training is always good.

My muscles particularly my biceps have gotten a lot bigger and more defined from pole dancing. They are slightly bigger than I would like but I'd rather be strong and be able to do the tricks.

Also having defined, strong and larger muscles makes it more unlikely that when we get older we will have saggy arms - u knnow with the jiggling underneath.
