    Default Manga Comics

I have never read any of these until about last week when I picked up the first book in the .hack series, because I was curious. I love the backwards reading format, and I really enjoyed them, a lot more than I had guessed I would. After finshing the first book in about an hour I ran out and got the other 2 in the first series set. They're awesome!! Does anyone else here read them? Have any sites you like to go to for the latest comics? Have any suggestions for my next series read?

I used to buy a lot of manga. I might try to re-buy all of the stuff I had, sometime. Every now and then I buy some new stuf. But It's rare.

I hate that they're like $10.00 a piece and I finsh them in an hour. Oh well, it's worth it.

^^ I know what you mean. Look on ebay, you can usually pick them up for 5 rather than 10. Watch the shipping!

I really enjoy manga, but it is not really cheap. I try and force myself to read chapter by chapter, rather than from cover to cover. Then again you can always go back and re-read or just enjoy the details, depending on artist of course.

I'm still worried about my Clamp reading, but Legal Drug is kina interesting.

^ I saw Legal Drug at the book store. There's too many to pick from.

The Ranma 1/2 ones are pretty funny, too.

I get scanned manga off bittorrent. I don't feel bad because manga is so overpriced and pimped by American distributors. Look on boxtorrents.com, isohunt.com, mybittorent.com. and piratebay.com. IN Japan, manga is printed on cheap paper that yellows easily, which keeps it cheap. It's also so everyday and ephemeral that it's not a big novelty like it is over here.

^ Yeah I heard over there they are like phone book size sometimes, and cheap. I didn't know you could get them off of torrents, I'll have to check it out.

Some are the scans of the official releases like TokyoPop, some are fan-done which can be a hit or miss. For example, I got the DragonBall Manga, which was badly done by someone who had gotten the Chinese version and translated it into English. It was crappy, but it was free!

Boxtorrents is a great place to get Japanese manga, anime, music, etc. If you can't get a membership, just use the browse option to filter through.

Here's a link to over 300 manga. Knock yourself out!

I suggest Shareaza as a bittorrent client.

^^You know its got you when you have to have your fav songs to a show, and you don't even understand the words to the song without the translation!!... other than the bit you memorized from the subtitles!

The scanned stuff is good, but it does not feel the same. Atlhough it is good for stuff that can not be found. Yotsubato is one of my favs. I think I had half the design office reading it back then.

Here is a link to a 'badly' translated version!

Yeah, but it's free. I'm poor, so I really can't complain.

Well it is not like I'm throwing my cash at the video side of things either. I just like the book in my hands when it comes to manga.

And most of what I'd like does not get licensed, or if it does it takes ages to get over here. I was on ep 75+ of bleach by the time they licensed it. I doubt it will ever see a complete run especially with the bounto arc.

I dunno much about torrents, but theres this site. http://narutofan.com/manga.php where I just download all the mangas. It's 8 bucks a month, but considering how many mangas they got and all the updates I think its worth it. Battle Angel Alita, Last Order is one of my favs. the art is so awesome as well as the storyline. Deathnote is crazy, Bleach is good, oh there's also FMA which if you've seen the anime, the manga won't dissappoint either. D-grayman is interesting too. Manga's are awesome.
