My roomate has been battling an HPV outbreak for five months now. I tell her that her doctor is an utter moron and a half, but she won't try for another one because it's so hard to find doctors in Ontario, blah blah blah. But it can't be normal that after getting two treatments a week for the last four months that it's still not gone? It seems to me that it's abnormal to be broken out for so long.
Anyway, I know this is probably super paranoid and ignorant, but I want to double, triple check that there is no way to get HPV without sexual contact, is there? We are roomates and share a bathroom, and I'm sure I'm fine, but I am very slightly terrified of getting this particularly virulent strain of warts. I'm getting the vaccination on my next doc's appt, but that's not until August. I am fine though, right?
ETA- it seems sadly appropriate that two and a half years here, such a freak-out, self-obsessed post has ushered me into Goddessdom...I am henceforth Molly, goddess of histrionics and BDD-whinery.
