Default DENVER: working at the diamond- ?Texas? ?FL?

I've Been at the Diamond now for about 6 months and don't know if I'm too happy. I worked day shift for the first three months... I use to be able to walk everyday after working the day shift with at least $400. Near the end of the third month all the day girls were walking with under $60... all of us. So, I started working nights.... more my thing anyways... more people to entertain and I love entertaining.... But our night shift had been doing poorly too... For nights that is... (the majority of the girls walking with under $200). But, I stuck it out... since then have had a few over $1,000 nights... I know that there is never a "true consistancy" in a club... but being happy with $300 or $400 a night some nights and then getting stuck with $200 too just isn't enough for me.... (WOW I sound greedy!!) But, seriously!

I tried working a night at La Bohem with my roommate. I hustled sooo damn hard with her. Off the list, tons of people around my stage, sold three bottles, dances.... and only walked with $250!!! On a FRIDAY NIGHT!!!

I wont work at Centerfolds... Heard about the gang issues at Oasis...... I've heard Shotgun Willie's is really really good money. Then at the same time had a friend who is now at Penthouse tell me it sucked. I need to make money!! This whole $200 BULLSHIT has GOT TO GO!

Also... I was wondering about traveling to work for a month or so in Florida or Texas. Any info on clubs, money, and rules there? What about Alaska as well??

Could be moving to Texas and then to FL so it would really help.

    Thanks guys!!

Where abouts in Florida are you going to be?
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

The entire first half of June should be awesome in Florida at the Cheetah because of the boat races... I'm a little upset I'm missing them

Sorry it's not working out. My impression is that Shotgun's, PT's Showclub, and Penthouse have the highest traffic, with Shotgun's far and away the most popular. When I last visited Shotgun's and Penthouse, the dancers I talked to were pretty happy about their money. However, the last time I went was about the time that you started in Colorado.

Depending on the business, there seems to be some slumping going on. I've had to look outside of Colorado to keep the money flow coming to my place.

This business, these times, might not be able to support your $1 grand a night needs.

You do sound like one. I was asking girls that worked in Colorado not people who have talked to the girls. I wanted to find out how other clubs were doing. Not someones opinion on how I should look at my earnings. I don't have $1,000 grand a night needs. Just wanted to see how the girls were doing at other clubs and learn about ones in TX FL and AL. NOT listen to your opinion. Thanks.

Dallas has been slow and vice has been active. Even if you did make slightly more somewhere else than back home, remember, travel expenses may eat some or a lot of your earnings. We recently had 2 girls who came to work in Dallas from LA, and they are dissapointed. They say they'd make the same, "not much", in LA. From what I hear, LA is the worst place for being a stripper. If the girl is making the same as in supposedly a "good" state for beng a stripper as she does at the worst one, what does it say to you? TX and FL are known as high contact states thus those girls who provide that level of contact, may do better than others. I am telling you from a point of a dancer who does "regular" dances that do not include heavy contact. From my prospective, it's a slow time of the year in most places.

Okay, fiance works at La Bo and I'm a retired 'Gun dancer...

I made consistant $$$ working days at the 'Gun... granted, I haven't entertained in 8 months, but my fiance is watching girls at La Bo cash in anywhere between $200-$600 in francs alone consistantly on weekend nights so I can't imagine business at Shotgun's is awful.

Judging from your posts and your expierience at Diamond, I'm betting it's safe to say you can hustle time off the list fairly well... I'm not sure how Diamond works it, but I know La Bo caps your hourly earnings at $120-$150 now... the nice thing about the 'Gun is they don't cap you. If you have a custie willing to spend $250 an hour just to keep you off stage, the house only cares about getting it's $20 per hour.

Here's my 'Gun expierience: It is summer, and custies tend to come in later this time of year so your window of $$$ making oppertunity narrows on the night shifts, you'll have to hustle harder to make up time... Day shifts this time of year (which, as most of us know relies mostly on regulars) expieriences a bit of a drop on the weekends, with three day weekends being super slooooooow. Week day shifts are still consistant.

People either hit the ground running at Shotgun's or they need time to find their groove there. I was in the latter catagory. It took me about two weeks of $200 or less shifts to finally start seeing the kind of $$$ I wanted to make.

I have to say zxcire, $200 a night in this city for this industry is not good money IMHO. If gentlemens' clubs in Denver could only promise me $200 or less per shift, I would have continued to sell cosmetics at Neiman Marcus where my paychecks would be only $200-$500 less per month than the cash I'd make stripping and I'd recieve benefits and paid vacations.

Mia.....when you say that La Bo is capping dancers off at around 150 an hour....do you mean that they'll cap your tips? Or are you just talking about hourly "off the list" time not including tips? That doesn't sound too hot, but I like La Bo as a club....I was thinking about going there, as I've got a big tattoo, and covering it every shift for Shotgun's would be a pain....and it seems like most ladies there that cover theirs look like they have burn scars or something (ick) I can't imagine someone paying much to look at a body with a huge burn scar on the back (like mine would be).....and from what I gather, La Bo lets you do your thing, tattoos or not......if the tattoos hurt you business, sucks for you; but they don't seem to care if you cover them or not......hmmm.....I'm looking to get started soon, and it's looking like La Bo or Shotgun's.....but I want to make a bit of cash too :o) I don't mind being on the low end for a bit; but 200 or less sounds pretty bad if that's consistent....so Diamond's off the list of possibilities I guess. I sort of want to start off on the day shift, to get my hustle working better; I'm not great with big young party crowds......have you heard anything about day shifts at La Bo? I guess it's off to the clubs to talk to as many girls as possible, and hope that at least a decent percentage are truthful to me :o) I remember a girl at Oasis once telling me that below 1000 was unheard of for her and a few of her friends....and they weren't terribly impressive looking to me....I smell horseshit....

Thet cap the amount you can charge a custie to buy you off the list... any gratuities or dances you sell are yours...

According to the fiance, days at La Bo are not consistant or lucrative... but he's not an entertainer and he works nights. I started working nights at Shotgun's and switched to days because I hate crowds and I suck at hustling the youngin's.

The 'Gun has the most consistant and busiest day shift, IMHO. If I ever left with less than $300, I was pissed. My average was about $450 per shift and $600 shifts weren't as frequent as I liked, but not uncommon either. During the summer months, my average was more around $350 with kick ass days being in the $500 range.

I imagine covering your ink would be a pain in the ass, but not all girls do it poorly. There were a few gals I worked with who did an amazing job covering their tattoo's. And I don't think the gals who gave themselves burn scar ink covers really saw a difference in $$$... if anything, custies ask about it, you tell 'em the tattoo policy, and then they're all intrested in finding out what's under the Dermablend...

As for the Oasis girls, unless it's a girl that used to dance by 'Anna' at Dandy Dans (and she is HOTT), she's full of poo.

I forgot to add that in order to make decent, consistant money in Denver, you have to work!!! I was constantly hustling between visits from regulars. I kept myself looking busy at all times and spent very little if any time talking with the girls sitting at the bar or bitching in the dressing room. If there was only one guy in the joint who wasn't tipping, I still got on stage and acted as if I were entertaining a room full of whales. I tipped out well so the support staff was always pointing out potential spenders to me or recommending me to custies. I made it a point to look "expensive" at all times.

I really don't think you can expect to show up and get paid just for being nekkid in this industry anymore (and I'm not implying that you are). With so many girls and so many clubs, if you aren't willing to work on your selling skills then you'll never see any consistancy.

I live and work in Dallas and I think its great! As far as contact, I think it is equal to contact expected at Vegas clubs. Houston is a different story. I am glad vice is cracking down on clubs in Dallas. The clubs I work at are very clean, and management is very strict about contact. I just hang out in the VIP most of the night, vice can't go back there. Dont get me wrong, it wasn't always like this. There were dirty girls that would pay the management to look the other way, but the owner put a stop to all that and fired them. On a slow night, 3-400, average 5-800, etc. I travel to Vegas and work once a month or so, but in my opinion, with money earned and cost of living Dallas rocks!

It's summertime and business is a little slower everywhere. Denver attracts more businessmen around the January conventions and later part of the winter. But it's definitely possible to make money here if you work hard and know when and where to go.
I went to audition at Diamond's and hated it - since then I haven't heard anything positive about money there.
Was at La Boheme for two days - money sucked, very few customers (although I work during the day and heard it picked up later), and management was terrible. In fact, they chopped off my lock on my locker because it didn't have my picture on it and everything I owned got stolen. So anyway...
I've worked at Centerfold's before and it's very easy to make money. During peak hours, the longest I sat and talked to someone was 2 songs. Otherwise it was just continuously running back and fourth between the stage and the lapdance area with customers. Made 700 easily but the vibe from that place is just really strange, and I don't know what it is but the shift just seemed to last forever. The funny thing about Centerfolds is, though, that as trashy as it looks and as heavy as the contact is on stage, customers were not grabby at all during private dances and payment afterward wasn't a problem.
I work at Penthouse. I love it here. Lots of great staff and the day always goes by ok. Money wise, you have to hustle but anywhere from 200-800 is pretty "normal" for a day shift for me, with maybe 500 being average.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure I'll have to work like a dog to make any cash at all; and that's alright with me Denver's just that way.....hell, stripping's just that way.....

I might give La Bo a shot and see if the day shift is too shitty.....It's just a more convenient place for me, and I have a very good friend there that I think could help me out a bit. Your Fiance works nights? I've been there for a few nights just hanging out with some friends (don't worry ladies, I tip well when in the club!... and I don't try to grab boobies or anything ), so I'll bet I've run into him....the guys that work there have all seemed pretty damned cool.

Oh, Anna....I think I've met her......There's one girl at Oasis who is just flat-out gorgeous, best....ass....ever, and men quite literally throw money at her! She makes about 100 per set on STAGE TIPS!!! DAMN! (and I know this because I watched her) but no, the girl that I talked to about it was definitely full of poo!
