    Default Domme training in/near Philadelphia

Hey everyone, I know there are a few professional dommes on here and a bunch of people from the Philly area so maybe I could find suggestions.

I'm looking to start to train to be a professional domme and I don't really know how to go about finding someone short of contacting through Myspace, which for some reason just seems shady to me.
I would try to just start out on my own and just do workshops to pick up tips but the potential safety aspect makes me nervous. I would rather have better guidance and the screening security that a dungeon could provide. Does that make sense?

I've worked as a PSO/text chat operator for a while but the money is crap and inconsistent, since I enjoy this as a lifestyle practice I'd like to see how going pro would work out.

    Thanks so much.

Most dungeons will hire you on as a submissive and let you work your way up to Domme.

^ Which is strange because I totally see a subbie being much more hardcore than a dom. :/

Yes, but it weeds out a lot of people who don't know what they're doing. And an untrained sub isn't likely to do permanent unwanted damage to the clients (though they might do that to her); an untrained Domme is a liability.

Besides, it's my opinion that the best Dommes are switches. You have to be able to appreciate the submissive aspect before you can fully understand what a good Domme does. I know I'm a great Domme in the dungeon but in my bedroom, K is the king.

I never suggest starting out on one's own. Either train via a dungeon or with a very experienced independent Domme. Start emailing dungeons and Dommes. It can't hurt, and even IF they aren't training anyone, they'd probably know who is.

I switch when the mood strikes so I see your reasoning there. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

I'll get on that asap. Thanks so much for the links--I had just been finding personal info pages through Myspace, which, like I mentioned before just felt shady/potential to not even be read. It looks like a few of them are really close to my current apartment or not far by train.

I'll keep everyone updated on the adventure as it (hopefully) successfully unfolds.
