Business in this area is pretty craptastic right now. Fair warning.
Tempe has Christie's Cabaret, no license required.
Mesa has Desert Flame I believe, but have no idea about money there. I've never heard much about the place and what I have heard wasn't good. That doesn't mean much though. You MIGHT need a Maricopa County license ($150) to work there, but best to call the club and ask about that.

Sonny's in Chandler is not far from that area either, same for Skin and Babe's in south Scottsdale. Depending upon where you are staying they may be closer than Desert Flame (far east Mesa) or Christie's Cabaret (south Tempe).

This week was DEAD at CCP. I've never in 5 years seen the place empty from 8-10pm. Literally, zero customers. On night I just sat in the corner with another dancer and gabbed. The next night I was sitting in VIP collecting my hourly rate from my regular and (almost) felt bad charging him hundreds of dollars/hour to sit "upstairs" where it's "more private."

^^^ Daaaamn. Wonder if it's that bad at other clubs.....

I went to Sonny's with the boy Wednesday night, and while we had a good time and there were some guys spending some money, there were WAY more girls than guys. We left before midnight, but still, the dancer-customer ratio was awful.
I think it's just shitty all over.

I'm sorry to hear that Britney. One factor, at least on Wednesday may have been that the D'backs played a day game instead of evening, so no post-game custys on the prowl for entertainment.
In contrast, from my experience last week dayshift at CCP seems to be rockin. Wednesday from around 12 - 2 there was a steady crowd of customers, and lots of ladies working, including my faves. Much fun was had.....

I must have just missed you AZDD!
I knew about the 12:30 game and went in early (3ish) to catch the "after-game don't want to sit in rush hour traffic" crowd. It was steady from 4 til 6 when my outta-towner came in. I'm thinking about switching some shifts around to hit the happy hour crowd . I liked getting home around 11 instead of 3:30 during the week.
Packed house last night. Lots of June weddings means lots of June bachelor parties. And for some unknown reason I've run into a lot of older guys on weekend golf trips....what are they thinking????? It's 115 degrees!

Here's an interesting story about the state of Arizona's slowing economy in today's Republic.

Additionally, according to this article in Forbes magazine http://www.forbes.com/2007/06/07/hou...ealestate.html real estate prices in the valley are expected to decline until 4th quarter 2008. If this "trickle down" effect continues, that means the clubs won't pick up to their 2004/05 levels again until Jan 2009.
