Default Buying a new clothes iron

My old clothes iron is beyond repair. The vents are clogged with mineral deposits, there's crusted gunk that won't come off, and the protective coating is wearing off. It's beyond simple cleaning. It's time to get a new one, which I will take care of.

    Any suggestions? Brands? Smart features?

I like the T-Fal "smart diffusion" irons. The bottom plate is coated with what looks like a ceramic coating instead of teflon like on most irons. It glides well over the fabric and doesn't stick or burn.
