    Default Interesting workout ideas?

I hate going to the gym, and I get bored doing the tapes and dvds I've bought to work out with.
So, does anyone have any interested/unique workouts that they do? Something that would be fun and keep me motivated.
And biking and inline skating are out, I'm definitely accident prone.

Boxing(you could join a club or take privatelessons), rockclimbing, female grappling or jiujitsu (there's an all girls club in my area), dance classes like belly-dancing, jazz, hip-hop, etc. I've seen ads for organized all girls pillow fights where the teams train and everything in my city... don't think this is a normal thing though LOL! Join an indoor/outdoor volleyball teams. Kayaking or canoeing if you have a lake close by, this would be a great activity for the summer that you can do with a friend and enjoy the outdoors.

OK, the pillowfight thing sounds a little crazy. I'm sure there is someone secretly filming it for some guy with some freak fetish.
But, the boxing thing is a good idea. I just moved to a new area, so I'm not sure of what's around me, but I'm sure there are places listed online. I've heard it's a good workout, plus I can learn to kick some ass!!

Craigslist is a great resource to find out what's happening in your area, as well as your local community newspaper. I just searched the Toronto craigslist and found people looking for badminton and running partners, as well as people to join volleyball teams, group salsa and kayaking trips. My local gym has Muay Thai classes and cardio salsa classes.

I think the pillowfighting may have had something to do with raising money for charity, not sure... definitely a little wild!

I bought a hula hoop from Walmart and spend about 30 minutes every other night hula-hooping around my living room with some music blaring - so much fun!!
