So tonight at work, apparently some customer's angry ex girlfriend showed up and decided to mess up his car... which was conveniently parked right next to mine. While she was going to town on his car, one of the bricks she'd thrown bounced off and knocked off most of my driver's side mirror. I was able to piece it together again, but it's all cracked and parts that were completely shattered are missing. Urgh. The manager tried to be helpful and stuff... They didn't catch the girl. Do I just have to call my insurance and report a hit and run? Even if it won't cost very much to repair, I shouldn't have to pay for it, right?
You want to know the best part? The doorman was out front, watching all of this. He was standing right there. What did he say when I asked him why he didn't try to stop her? "Dude, she was a crazy lady with a crowbar and bricks, and she wasn't going after my car, so I didn't want to get involved." WTF? It's your JOB to get involved. Anyway. Hmph. And I still tipped the coward.
Any advice on what I should do? I could drive around like this if I really needed to.. But I love my car and I keep it nice, it's a 2006 and I just paid it off a few weeks ago. Will my insurance (Progressive) help me at all?

I know you don't want to pay for it yourself, and you shouldn't have to. But, there are things to consider. You probably have a deductible on your insurance policy that has to be met before they pay for anything, usually between $200-$500.
I'm leaving in a few days and I'll be out of the country for 2 months, so I'll just deal with it when I get back... Gonna try to have my dad order the part and fix it for me.
