    The pill and time differences...

Soooo... In less than a week I leave for Berlin! Yay!

I'm wondering what I should do about the time of day I take my pill. Normally I take it at 7:30AM. In Berlin, they're 8 hours later than here. Should I ignore the time difference, and just keep taking my pill every 24 hours...Which would make it like 3:30PM, or should I try to adjust it so that I'll be taking it at the Berliner 7:30AM? What do y'all think?

Split the difference and take it mid-morning Berlin time, then the second day take it at 7:30 Berlin time and get back on your early schedule. You don't have to take it at EXACTLY the same time every day, just approximately, so a couple hours on the day you travel won't make that much difference.

Honestly I have been taking BC for over 10 years and I have never, never taken it at a particular time, i just take it whenever I remember/wake up and I have never had a problem.

^You are lucky. Many women who dont take it consistently at the same time, get pregnant.

That said, Yek is right, most pills (MOST, check your pill's pamphlet) have some flexibility, meaning as long as you take your pill within 5 hours of your normal time, you're fine.

Personally, I'd take it at 7:30 Berlin time, only because I know, when I take my pills in the afternoon, I dont feel very well, and also because if I started taking it in the aftrenoon, I know my routine would be thrown off and I know I'd be more likely to forget.

Also, maybe try weaning it down. I dont know how long you'll be there, but the first day take it at 3:30...the next day 12:30, and so on. That way, you keep the pill at its maximum efficiency, but also get to a more practical time for you.
