    Default Dinner With a Customer

Has anyone ever gone out with a customer who paid you? I am not talking about sex or anything like that.

For example: A girl I work with has a reg that comes in to see her from out of state. He pays her to go to dinner with him, then they usually come to the club after to spend time in VIP..... She says that they are both (her and the custy) very clear on the parameters of the relationship.

Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with this, but I know it has raised some eyebrows at my club......

P.S. I am about 99% sure this girl is not doing anything extra

i even used to think / id be the one to stop the riot and negotiate the peace / then i awoke and dug
that if i dreamed natural dreams / of being a natural woman
doing what a woman does / when shes natural

Fwiiw, this is a standard system in the gaijin (Western style) SCs in Tokyo (and elsewhere in Japan). Such a "date" with a customer for dinner or coffee or sometimes shopping before bringing him to the club is called a "dohan", and the dancers are expected to fill a quota of them...typically something like 2 per week I think. If they don't, they are "fined", although it is not a great deal of money and some dancers just ignore the whole system and pay the fines routinely. The same system applies at a lot of hostess clubs, soaplands and other such establishments. It is generally understood by all concerned not to carry any implication of anything other than OTC socializing. (This is not to say that nothing further ever occurs, but the mere fact of a dohan does not raise any eyebrows or suggest to anyone that anything "extra" is going on.)

There is generally a greater emphasis of cultivating regulars in Japanese clubs, and the dohan system is a part of that mode of hustling.

I've done it and my advice is that if you do it, just make sure you always charge him for it (so he realizes it's not a date) and don't tell other people you're doing it....and don't charge less than $200

Yep...I've done it, and always charge. $500-$1000.
And I always make it VERY clear it's dinner ONLY, and get paid up front.

It usually works out very well, and no problems, I only had 1 guy who became very upset that I would not return to his hotel room with him. I said, but..I told you I wouldn't. I told you it was dinner and a show, only. He said yeah, I tought you just had ot say that, btu didn't mean it. He asked for his money back, LOL.
I said, not my fault your stupid. I did what I said I would do, sorry you expected more and didn't believe me when I said you weren't gonna get more. Oh well.....
Usually I'm better at screening guys. I missjudged that one.

How does the screening process work? I've always wanted to do it but was afraid of him wanting dessert with his dinner.

My screening process if how they've behaved in the club. In VIP, have they tried to grope me, or make comments that lead me to believe they want laid? Or were they well behaved and had the kind of VIP where we sit and talked, and they did not try to touch me.
I will not meet guys outside who try to touch me in VIP or anything. I only meet gentleman who want company and conversation. And usually..you can just kind of tell what they want, and how they'll act. That one guy I mentioned above, I droppe dthe ball, and i missjudged. It only happened once.
I won't meet guys who want to "date me" or have an interest like that, I only meet guys who know they are paying me for my company, nothing more.

My boyfriend ALWAYS knows where I'm at, usually, he is nearby somewhere, although I have never felt unsafe. I meet the guy at the place we are going to be, I won't ride with them, or get in a car with them. I also won't meet them at the casino they are staying in. It has to be a different casino. Just cause then they can't ask me back to their room.

Meeting in public places I think is okay, as long as the rules are clear and you're being well compensated.

I've done it and gotten paid.

I have a friend who does it routinely for free and it makes her kind of a small town celebrity in the little towns that she dances in.

I've done it, I charged about $600! Pretty good for a free meal, non-handsy respectful customer. Plus, he continues to come into the club to spend! No probs here ya know.

Fuck yes! I will either go out with them for cash, or I will let them pay for me to gamble. I love to gamble, and if I win I keep the money. I generally always get to keep at least a couple hundred dollars, even if I don't win. I've made upwards of 800 dollars for doing something I love (playing black jack).

If I didn't live in Vegas, I wouldn't do this. But I feel totally safe in a casino with nine million people around. I just never get in a cab with them (like, if I get paid to go to dinner and then they want to go to a club afterwards at a different casino).

Also, I have done shows in hotel rooms ... but only for people I knew. (Such as my friend's brother who was in from out of town for a bachelor party).

    *****************SAFETY TIP*************************

Pee before getting to the resturaunt because you're not going to want to get up and leave your food or drink on the table where your customer could put something in it.

I love getting paid to go out!

I have wondered about this too, but I also always worry that I could somehow get into trouble legally. Guys always want to pay me for having a cup of coffee with them after work and it seems like such a harmless way to make money. How would you find out if it is legal in different areas?

I love casino dates, but I really think other games are better than blackjack when you're with a customer only because the money in that game doesn't fluctuate that much so you can't get the big payoffs.

I play BJ with my own money because it takes longer to lose. But if you're with a customer, it doesn't matter if you lose. You get more from your customer. If you play games like 3 card poker and you get the 30-40x odds hands, it's great when you win because you put more in your pocket!

I have a HANDFUL of guys who may meet me for lunch when I am in town on a booking, and then come in the club and get dances. They are not pushing for sex. My wealthy regular requires a few lunches and an hour and a half afternoon ride to the city when I am booked, but he buys 20 dances a week in the club, sends me money for shopping and misc. and has bought me 2 Louis Vuitton purses and most recently a Fendi one, so the time is justified. He tips the staff well in the club and often pays my tipouts.

These are all guys whom I have seen for several years.

You have to be very careful though, as many guys will fade out after a dinner or lunch or two. You will lose them if you don't go eat with them, and lose them if you do.

Right, NEVER tell anyone in the club if you are dealing with a customer outside the club. They will spread untrue rumors.

Well, I wouldn't take a dancer out for a fee. It's either inside the club or if there's the right chemistry then outside, but not as business

I went gambling with a guy in PR after work once. He ended up giving me $1800, but he was also one of those guys who just handed you 2-3 $100s just for 20-30 minutes of convo at the bar, if he liked you. Sheesh. Remembering stuff like that makes me want to get my ass back to PR pronto!!

i think it's more trouble than it's worth -and- i think any kind of "dating" outside of work is ruining our industry.

no offense to anyone who's done it, i have friends who have, that's just my opinion on the matter.

I don't think non-sexual escorting with very select customers is ruining our industry nearly as much as clubowner greed and short-sighted management. The kind of guy who pays $2-300 for 20-30 minutes of convo and then pays $1800 for gambling will come in again and keep paying for convo in the club. The guy I gambled with sure did.

^ i think it leads customers to believe it is acceptable to go to a strip club looking for dates. i also think it's why plenty of us get hounded for dates and lose money to girls who are willing to do so.

Nah, the guys who constantly hound for dates will do it regardless and they are generally cheap. They call it playing the numbers game. The ones who pay that kind of money just for companionship will still do it in or out of the club with whomever they like. These are usually guys who travel frequently for business and just want the company of a pretty girl. These are not guys who hound girls for "dates". They are a different type of customer and I'm willing to bet, judging from your posts here, that you don't see this type of customer where you are (or at least it's extremely rare). They are rare period, but they are a bit more common in certain areas that draw more high-end travelling businessmen.

The guy I gambled with never did ask for anything outside the club, and he still paid the other girl he liked in the same club I worked, even after I went gambling with him. He liked both me and her, and he came in regularly and paid both of us separately to hang out at the bar with him for a little while.

Regardless, clubowner greed and short-sighted management are by far the biggest causes of problems in this industry, hands down. I'm pretty sure the fact that I got $1800 to go gambling with one guy one time is NOT what's ruining this business. And furthermore, if more girls could/would get guys to pay up that kind of money to hang out for a while (either in club or out), we as a whole wouldn't be complaining nearly so much

If outside "dating" hurts us, it's when girls do it for FREE (or just too cheap).

Right!! I play craps with other people's money. Craps is really about putting it all out there and getting lucky. You can either win big, or lose big. Last time I had a craps date, I rolled for 20 minutes and made 4 grand.

And I agree with VegasPrincess...I never get in cabs either. Just in case he tells the cabbie to take us somewhere I didn't want to go...I just don't do anything that causes me to lose control of the situation. If customer wnts to go to a different casino, I drive myself and meet him there.

I have also foudn with gamblign dates...I don't actualyl charge them, I tell them give me money, I keep what I win. I'm good at all casino games, and know how to play, and on other peoples money, ith no fear of losing, for some reason, you always do better. But the off chance I am losing, and not makign any money, I start pocketing chips I sneakily slip blacks or greens or whatever I can into my purse when we change tables or whatever. I never make a lot doing that, cause i don't ant them to notice, so gotta be real sneaky with it, but more than if I had lost it all. I want somethign for my time.
But hotel room shows...I don't do that. Simply because I don't meet customers outside that club that want a show. I prefer to meet guys who want a "date" experience. Dinner and company. Nothing sexual.
