OMFG!! Guess what! it turns out that if you shop outside of eBay you don't qualify for buyer protection!

That means any asshole can charge you whatever they want for something, then never send it to you, and PayPal can't help you!

Well, I guess that is the lesson I learned today.

By the way, if you shop on www.ioffer.com, beware! you may as well be sending them cash.

    Where did you learn this?

I've bought things outside of eBay through PayPal and actually had to file a complaint.

They got me my money back in fact.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.

Send them a money order via US Mail. You can't be billed for more. If the item does not match the add or does not arrive it is a Federal Crime. Mail Fraud. Postal Inspectors will deal with it for you.

if you use a credit card you're protected through the credit company. you only have to pay $50 of any fraudulent charges. and if you dont receive the product, you can file with your credit card company and they wont pay the vendor and you wont be charged.

If you go the Mail order route. They go to Federal "fuck me up the ass" prison. This may encourage others to be more honest.
