Default Exchange costume info with coworkers?

One of the girls I work with was wearing a unusual, really cool bikini top yesterday, and in the dressing room another girl admired it and asked her where she got it. The first girl snapped back "Why would I tell you where I got it? So you can go buy it and we can be fuckin' twins? Sorry, babe." Everyone in the DR shot her a look like she was the biggest bitch ever....

Yeah, she was rude, but I can see her point. We all go out of our way to buy outfits that set us apart from the crowd and are ultra-flattering...

    So my question:
If a girl asks you where you got your bikini/dress/robe/shoes/etc......do you tell her? Or do you go the copout route like me:"Oh this? I bought it from a girl at another club."

Basic stuff? I tell em. They're gonna find it eventually somewhere anyways. Why fight it. My really original stuff, however.... I usually say it was a gift and leave it at that. I would seriously never be a bitch about it, though.

    ^^^^Agreed.

To clarify, her top was just unusual for the club/area...most girls from my club buy their clothes at the 2 local stripper stores, which both carry the same styles/same brands (and insanely high markups!). That girl's particular top was by J. Valentine and is on several online sites. Any girl doing a simple Google search can find it anyway....so I guess I didn't understand why she was being such a secretive bitch about it. I swear, some people LIVE to create drama.

Anytime someone compliments my stuff I go out of the way to tell them where I got it. I usually buy from small shops so I think it's good to refer others to them.

For my themed outfits/costumes, I say the truth - I had my costumer make it especially for me. I will gladly refer them onto him as he is a great costumer and deserves all the work he can get If it is something that is available in a catalogue ie leg avenue... i say i got it at a local adult store.

Usually tho', I say the truth because honetly I usually do buy alot of my stuff off another dancer at another club. For instance, I have three outfits that I bought off one dancer at a local club I used to work within. There have been other outfits too that I bought off other dancers.

In re bikinis, if it is a specific brand ie sublime bikinis I will promote them as I'm not worried about "competition". Ultimately, tho' alot of my current work clothes are custom made (costumer).

I'll share...If I got the outfit first and a girl wears it after I tell her...I'm not the one who looks like a bitch. I often combime things in an original way...so just getting the same top woudln't bother me.
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

I"ll tell them where I got, especially since most of my stuff comes from my friend who goes club to club to sell costumes. The best is when they want to know where i got my outfit and I can tell them that I made it! And that no one else will ever have it!

If it's a basic pair of booty shorts or something, yeah. But if it's something special, I just say, "sorry, I don't share my secrets!" with a smile. If it's a friend, I try to help them put together cute outfits that are different from the rest.

I actually made a poster with a list of good websites to get stripper shoes, costumes etc with little reviews next to each and put it up in our dressing room. I really llike most of the girls i work with and want them to save money esp on shoes coz in AUstralia stripper shoes are a total rip off llike $180-$240.
