    Default Oh no, not AGAIN!

Last night I went to work at my club. I got ready at home, great makeup and hair. I hit the floor in one of my $$ making outfits and bam..I didn't want to talk to anyone. I didn't even want to look at anything. I was at work for 4hrs and only danced 2x for one guy. Luckily he gave me $100 tip on top of the 2 songs. But after that, I just gave up. I left work at 10pm. I just didn't have the energy to try to sit in that club.

Please tell me I'm not burning out? Shit, I dont even think I work enough to even be allowed to be burned out

I'm going out of town in a week, so hopefully that will help me. Any other advice you girls can think of that may help?

    Mind over matter.

Refuse to let yourself believe in "burning out". You were just being lazy, off your game for one night.

I had a day like that Tuesday, just wasn't into it. There was one guy there that I knew I could get dances from, he's kinda handsy and alot of work but I just wasn't up to it. I was schedule for two shifts (3-7 and 7-11) and left after my first one. If I'm not on my game it's better for me to leave. I was off the next day came back in and banked.

I know exactly what you're saying. Sometimes I loose sight of why I'm all dressed up in the first place, and after a while I just show up to work, and that's it. I just show up and nothing more. On nights like that, sometimes it helps to have a goal laid out. I used to have a money goal, but now I do it in # of dances. Money goals get me freaked out about money. Dance goals make me motivated to talk to everyone to get the dances I need.

I've been where you are, being on the floor all dressed up on the outside and feeling like I could care less on the inside. It's so easy to waste time like that too because then you're just biding your time until you go home, which is... well... not so smart. Maybe you could make a goal of 2 dances an hour when you feel like that, and let the clock be your motivator. If you see it's 10:37 and you haven't done your two dances for that hour, you'll be barrelling out of the dressing room to sweep the floor from one end to the other to get your dances.

i can understand your point of view ,however sometimes it's best if a person can just shake off that mood.Change there thinking/thoughts...Just keep trying and working ,not let the emotion lead you and have control over emotions. Like the saying goes where the mind is the body follows...and don't give up,keep trying.
