    Default Ouiji boards....?

My cousin is talking to me about how she wants to use a Oiuji board to contact our deceased grandmother. She says she's messed with one before and that they really do work. I've never played with one before and don't really know whether I believe they work or not. Anyone ever done it before?

While I believe in the supernatural and I'm sure there are many "spirit boards" out there that actually do work if you are properly tuned in.....I cant believe that anything truly other-worldly can be done with something made by Parker Brothers.

I used them a lot for quite a while, and even used to make my own. I adore them, honestly. They work great for me too.

I have A LOT of freaky Ouija board stories. I believe in them for sure. The thing about them is is that any spirit can come in contact with you on the board....including the "bad spirits"...they can harass you and even try to pass as your deceased relative. You have to be very careful. It is really freaky and not a joke. I believe in them because of my own back-of-the-neck hair raising experiences. No more playing with Ouija boards for me!

Ok, so if I decide to go along with my cousin and use one, any advice or tips I should know? I'll just feel kind of guilty using one because I'll feel like I'm ASKING for bad things to happen, but it's one of those things where you know it's bad, but you wanna try it out anyway, ya know? And how can you be sure the other person isn't moving the little thing?

When I was around 14, my friend and I were screwing around with one and weird shit started happening and there was just a creepy feeling in the house. My mom like burst into my room and was like, "WHAT are you two doing!!!!!!" She then dragged me to the dumpster and made me throw the thing out. I thought about sneeking out to get it later 'cause I'm weird like that. But my mom scared me more than the board.

My best friends and I used one behind this burned down old house. The spirit we contacted told us he used to beat his son, and dogs, and wife with baseball bats, and then one day he beat the son to death so he killed his wife, then lit the house on fire and sat on the floor and waited thus killing himself......it was FREAKY...cause the story of the house burning was they found a man, woman, and son's body inside, etc..... Anyway, we tried to go and the spirit said it was going to beat us with baseball bats if we left him, and we kept putting it to "goodbye" and it kept saying "no" - - - anyway we closed it up anyway and took off freaking out and the next morning one friend had a bruise blacker than black and about four inches all around, on her upper leg, and hadn't hit it on anything - and hardly ever bruised. It was SCARY.

I don't mess with them anymore.

If you have no prior experience or knowledge of the Ouija board youre probably better off going to a spiritual medium if you want to have contact with someone specific and or if you have specific things you want to know about from the deseased.

Be aware that bad and scarey things can happen with using the board too. I think its a good idea to read up alot before trying it out. Look into protection also (-:

    K thanks guys!
Good link blacksheep....here's a quote I got from it I thought was interesting-
"Quite often the Ouija turns vulgar, abusive or threatening. It grows demanding and hostile, and sitters may find themselves using the board compulsively, as if 'possessed' by a spirit, or hearing voices that control or command them"
    That kinda creeped me out.

Here we go - stored away as I came across this a multitude of times at a Magick Board I used to moderate way back when.....................

    Ouija, Spirit Communication, Channelling

**** I apologise for any "dead" links found in this document as I first made this document years ago ****

The following document shall contain information that will guide you to a positive Ouija experience. Just like any other spirit communication device and/or channeling tool, treat it with respect (especially in its care, ie be sure your board is clean and free of dust before use).

Since my own knowledge concerning the Ouija board is limited - I shall refer you to web pages that I have viewed and that I feel may be of some interest to you in regards to spirit communication and/or channeling using an Ouija board as your tool.

Just remember that the Ouija Board itself is only a tool, a focus point, for your spirit communication. The board acts like a conductor of YOUR and the participating spirit(s) energies.. in more simplier words, the Ouija Board has no power.

    * Limit the experience to (max.) 3 hours a week or else you'll become an addict and consequently a slave to certain spirits.
    * Cast a Protection Circle before the session and close it afterwards. If you're Christian, keep a Bible and/or Cross close at hand.
    * NEVER leave the planchette (message indicator) on the board if you aren't using it.
    * If the planchette goes to the four corners of the board or repeatedly makes a figure eight, it means you have contacted an mischievous spirit. In these cases, quickly turn the planchette upside down and use it that way.
    * If you feel anything threatening say goodbye (close circle or close with a prayer) and put the board away immediately.
    * If you ever want to get rid of your board, DO NOT BURN IT! Break it into seven pieces, sprinkle it with Holy/Consecrated Water then bury it.
    * It is ok to make your own board, it works just the same, perhaps even better because it would be filled with your own energy! Choose a wood like birch or oak. A good board size is fifteen by twenty inches and at least a quarter of an inch thick to resist warping. Sand, stain and letter your board then coat it with clear lacquer or enamel. Feel free to embellish it with images of suns, moons, stars, pentagrams, crosses...Next, make the planchette out of wood or clear plastic. You might of course want to use a glass or a cup, in that case remember to hold them over candlefire before each session (consecrate the planchette).
    THE OUIJA BOARD > http://gurlpages.com/triskele/ouija.html

The name 'ouija' comes from a combination of the French and German words for 'yes' and was a popular form of entertainment last century when there was a resurgence of interest in spiritualism. ...
Used properly the Ouija Board can be a positive tool to making new friends and gathering information. However, you should not just stop there and rely on the board. Work on your own spiritual development and this will not only enhance your use of the board, but may render it obselete - while at the same time improving your whole life.

I have one but I don't ever use it. Sometimes you contact benevolent spirits, sometimes evil ones. The best thing to do beforehand is to pray before using the board that only benevolent spirits contact you. My brother and I, when we weere 14 or 13 so so, asked a nice spirit where heaven was. The spirit told us that heaven is not a place. It is a state of mind. We had some wwacky-ass spirits contact us. Can you use them alone, or do you need 2 people?

Contacting spirits doesn't really freak me out. I mean, we're all spirits carrying around physical bodies. I would feel freaked out if I contacted someone evil. That would frigten me for sure.

I would never, EVER mess with those. There's too much unknown stuff out there that you could tap without knowing the consequences. I don't swim in water that's so murky that I can't see my feet, and I don't mess with things that I have no knowledge of.

Yeah. That's one of the reasons why I don't use mine. Too scared that I'd get hooked up with some freaky spirit. I'm an intuitive person by nature anyway.

If there was a guarantee that I'd come in contact with somebody cool, then of course I'd use my board. But ya never know...I'd rather pray and meditate instead.

I agree with Aussiepunkshocker. If your friend really wants to contact a deceased loved one she should look in the phone book or on the internet for a good medium in the area. Using the Ouija board is not the way to go. Like, I, and many others have already stated, you don't know who or what you are actually contacting on the board. A lot of spirits will also fuck with your head and tell you what you want to hear, by reading your mind. Continue to do more research.

I read tarot cards, and I am intuitive by nature as well... "a natural witch" I guess you might say. I've had really good friends who were mediums and did consultations. If your friend is really serious about this, I would suggest you both go that route.

If you're still curious...go ahead and try it...but don't say you weren't warned. Also, for some people it works, and for some people it doesn't. I've actually played the board by myself several times... but not everybody has this kind of psychic energy to be able to make it all "flow" just right on the board.
