What do you think? Anyone ever worked their butt this way?
Looks tough! But it looks like it may be easy on the knees, which is a problem of mine.

Id be afraid my clutzy ass would fall off..knees sliding right down so I break my face!

I used to do that in high school with out the 45 pound dumb bells. It is not easier on your knees but it does work out pretty much your whole body.
That exercise looks cool though tough. A good butt exercise that's easy on knees is to buy ankle weights. Then wearing them lift your foot (with bent leg) up towards your butt. You could also do this in a crawling position on the ground. If you have lower back problems it's probably not a good exercise though.

Oh I've done that one.. it huuuuuurrrrrrts.

On the subject...
What ARE some good butt exercises that are easier on the knees? I find squats and lunges hurt my knees to much, and I really need some good butt exercises

I put the treadmill on incline as high as possible on 3.5 (speed). It really makes your booty burn! LMAO I actually bought the 80's buns of steel VHS at half priced books for one dollar awhile back, Man that is a ass burner! I feel you all on the knees thing, we do enough to screw our knees up at work! Hope you like the suggestion.
Try a stiff-legged deadlift with dumbbells.
ouch that looks like it would hurt your back.. I've tried doing something like that and couldn't even figure out how to get up from the bottom.![]()

Lay flat on your back and lift up your butt as high as you can. Try for 3 sets of 20. On the 10th and 20th rep hold it up there and count to 10. BURNS!!!
^^ feet planted on the ground w/bent knees or like a plank with weight resting on your heels? Sounds like a dumb question, but I'm more of a visual person than someone who can read something and see it in my minds eye...
Feet planted on the ground, like you're about to do ab crunches.
cool, thats what I thought... just checkin... ok I'm going to go work out my butt!!! and watch tv... it will be fun, or whatever.
I always did hip thrusts with my heels on a bosu ball, performing 15 reps with both legs, then 5 with each leg independently. Ouchies.

Thanks Pure; I just read it and then went over and did it. Really felt that! But it was easy to just get done. Thanks for the inspiration!![]()

OoOoOooo I cant wait to try this at the gym tommarow! Looks challenging

I did the "lower body" Pilates exercises. Definately easy on the knees considering I was lying on my side for all of the individual movements. It worked my butt, hips and thighs good
Otherwise, no f-ing way are you getting me to do THAT one when I KNOW of easier ways to work my body.![]()

I love this one. And if it's too easy, add ankle weights.
It totally took my white woman ass and made it into something prettier!

gonna chime in and say i also love buns of steel.

I use the sitting leg press at the gym. I have very weak legs, so I actually concentrate on just using my butt muscles to push the weight. It doesn't hurt my knees, and now I can bounce my booty like nobody's business.
