I think the intention is for the ink to spread so the whole eyeball looks blue.

    More info.

Odd. And seemingly odd just for the sake of odd. Can you imagine being 50 and having a blue eyeball? For that matter..I cant imagine being any age with a blue eyeball.

    Too bizarre for me...

and a link on that site...ow ow ow....

Lol, actualy if I wasnt such a health freak and if the procedure was safe and guarenteed to work, I wouldnt mind coloured eyeballs - Id probably go for black though.
You see, if I wasnt such a health freak I would probably be a circus freak instead :-D

I'm way to squeamish to even try and put in a contact lens let alone a fucking needle! If the ink does spread it might look interesting. Can't say I'm interested in signing up though.

NO I'm going to hold out for blue within blue eyes.

Hmmm. I don't know that it would ever effectively cover the eye without being blotchy, and I would think it could bleed into your iris, as well. Anyway...everyone saw the jewelry implants a few years ago, yes?

A pal of mine from Australia had the UV glowin eye drops stuff. That's as close as I'd get, to be honest.

That's so strange, if it didn't look so uncomfortable it might not even bother me so much.

I've never gotten a tattoo, but wouldn't one in your eye really, really hurt? I wonder how long it took. It would be neat if you could change the color of your eyes with a tattoo and it didn't bleed into the whites.

Haha - are you talking about Clear Eyes?
The amount of drug users that use them and are totally unaware that the drops glow in under UV ammuses me greatly!

Nuh uh. This stuff was made specifically to use under black light. Bold yellowish green crap in a bottle. I wish I could remember what they were called, and if she could only find them where she lived, yanno? When she put them in her eyes, even in plain light, her entire eyes were yellowish green.

[edit] I found a small pic, I hope it's enough to see the color....

A seemingly knowledgeable modblog.bmezine.com subscriber named "F. Xanatos" gives the courageous (and nutty) Josh an eye-opening online lecture:

"Whereas I think that this is rather a silly thing for someone to do; this is basically a subconjunctival injection, which is a procedure I was taught to do in school. It is common for ophthalmologist to perform this procedure to place a depot of medication to be absorbed slowly. That being said, it being done by someone untrained in the proceure is dangerous and stupid.

The likelyhood is that all the ink will be removed from this area by the body’s immune system. The eye is not really a place that is designed for tattooing.

There is very little risk of the ink actually entering the globe of the eye and damaging vision.

Again, although I feel that the likelyhood of permanent vision loss is low, this is a stupid and dangerous thing to do."

Id forgotten that those had ever been invented, lol!
Ithadnt occurred to me actually that they had cool looking ones - I remember seeing really old bogus looking ones in museums, lol!
Im not sure that theyre available over here - especially prescription ones which I would need as im as blind as a bat, lol!
Might have to look into it though, thanks for that!

I wonder if the guy with the eye tattoo knows about them...

It's kind of funny though. This is the way a lot of the U.S. society use to be about tats and piercings in general (eww, not me, never ever, it's gross, etc.). It wouldn't surpise if this became popular, seen as sexy in the future.
