    Default dying extensions

I have extensions that I bought from Sallys (I know I know, they're overpriced and not the best quality, but for my purposes, they work). They are a dark golden brown, so they have a sort of red tinge, which matched my hair exactly at the time. However, I'm dying my hair back to its natural color (first time since I was 10) which is the same level of dark brown, but its ash, with no gold or red at all.

Is it possible to achieve that ash shade with my extensions? Is there a specific kind of dye I should use or avoid? Or would I be okay using the same dye I plunk on my head?

If they are human hair, you can color them. I'm sure you'll be fine to use whatever you're using on your head. I'm doing my clip in tonight since I had my done today and I'm using some store-bought stuff. It's been awhile since I've done this, but I remember the first time I did it, I had to do it twice b/c it was really hard to not miss sections. So be thorough.
