    Default Exercises for lower tummy and hips

    Hey gals,

    Do you know of any good exercises to firm up the lower tummy (below the belly button) and hips? Would pilates or weight training be good?

    I already run about 4 Xs a week (my legs and ass are in killer shape), do pushups, situps 4 Xs a week, and I dance for about 30 hours a week and I keep busy at work.

    My lower tummy and hips are the are areas I want to get firmer and tighter.

    Any suggestions?

    Pilates and Yoga.

    Don't forget that there is no such thing as spot training. If you focus on one/two areas and neglect the rest you're going to hurt yourself.

    Do full body work outs and know that everything balances out.

    ^^ Thanks VG. I remember you saying that before. I try to keep things balanced by doing exercises for different parts of the body, but I don't have exercises for this one area.

    I loved Pilates when I took it a few years back. Maybe I should try again.

    Here's a website I found that lists exercises and has a mini gif of how its done. Also shows you what muscles are being used to do the exercise. There are more than just ab exercises on there too.

    I swear by pilates (though I should start doing it again). It's been the best thing for my tummy and hips. I like winsor pilates.
