Well just keep taking those baby steps and soon youll have the job youve been wanting so badly. Im starting soon too and I havent been to the club I want to work at yet tho. I think I will be excited and want to start right away but Im not all the way ready yet so Im waiting a few more weeks of fitness training to boost my confidence. Anyways u are probably doing better then u think because the manager was eagar to get u started.

sidenote : what kind of background check must be passed to get the job and will bad job history really matter?

Yes, I'm going to keep taking the baby steps! I guess when the time is right, is when I will do it! For what ever reason, I guess it just wasn't the other night. Thank you for your encouragement! I wish the best of luck to u when u go in! I'm sure u will do great when u do!
As far as your questions go, at the places I went they didn't do any background checks as far as I know and didn't ask about my past job history.

Good lucky McKenzy....if baby steps work for you, then by all means, approach it in that manner. I toyed with the idea in my head for awhile when I first started. However, it came to the point where I just had to do it...I jumped in, much like jumping in the pool when the water is cold or ripping off a band-aid. I figured that when I got there, I could always leave after I got on stage. If, at any point during the shift I felt uncomfortable, I was still a free woman. That realization made it easier to get in the door and take off my clothes. Most people are nervous the first night, so your feelings are completely justified. What works for one person might not work for another. Best of luck with your career

Don't worry about it, your first time is a little scary and then you'll be fine.
