    Default Hangover

Goddamn, I gave myself a good one this time.

I have now had it for almost 14 hours.

Anyone have a good folk remedy for me?

Man I hate hangovers. Especially the all day ones. I vowed to myself that I would never in my life catch another major hangover, and I haven't had one in 3 months!!!!!! Yay me! (Sorry bout the threadjack lol)

To the OP- Vitamin water always helps me. Or "Life Water". It hydrates you and at the same time gives you all kinds of nutrients.
    Orange juice is really hydrating.
You could always eat the toast like Tart said, drink something, and take a tylenol PM and sleep it off.

The new Dasani water..is way way better than Vitamin water. Vitamin water has a lot of calories and sodium.

The dasani water..0 calories and like 25 mg of sodium and tastes just like the vitamin water. Just not that many flavors.

    Sorry lol

POM Wonderful pomegranite juice is full of antioxidants and will help rid your body of the toxins real quick. Beside that, load up on carbs, Vitamin C, B Vitamins, and water.

I had a bad hangover all day today too. Emergen-C really helps.

Oh, and pizza. We ordered pizza for lunch and I felt much better.

Last bad hangover I had, which was hangover/alcohol poisoning, I called up a pal of mine who is a long timer in AA. He suggested flat cola, and it worked wonders on mah tummy.

    Lol! Great thread!!!

I once tried to cure a hangover with watermelon and salt. Sounds bizarre, but watermelon tastes really good with *cheese* so I thought it would simultaneously hydrate me and replace electrolytes in my body...
Instead the salt irrritated my tummy and made me throw up even more... not one of my brighter ideas.

    My best hangover cure?

Toast and flat soda (like others said) or bland cereal with lots of milk. (Easy on the tummy + will replace some fluid in your body.)

    And 2 advil. (ibuprofen.)

I am curious to hear others' hangover cures...

Whenever I get a nasty hangover, I drink soda, order a pizza, and sleep all day. The pizza for whatever reason, always seems to help a ton, so does the sugar (but then, i tend to have low blood sugar anyway, so that might not work for everyone), and the sleep, well, nothing beats just giving your body time to heal.

    Nux Vomica.

It is THE hangover cure. It's homeopathic...I used to steal it from my old boss at the horse farm (we were supposed to use it for horse colic). I was...profusely ill one morning, after having my last shot of tequila four hours before. It was 7am, and I was trying to clean stalls, slumped over in the corner. It was such a nightmare. I took this stuff, and I was completely fine. It's the only 'miracle cure' I've ever met for anything in my life. I don't drink anymore, but if I did, I wouldn't without this stuff.

I usually sip diet soda over ice. If I can make it out of the house I go buy an icee. I also eat some pizza if I have any frozen ones in the house or leftovers. I drank all most the entirety of last month & only had a hangover a couple of times, so maybe my body was getting used to it. I don't know.

omg sorry to threadjack but this reminds me of the absolute worst hangover I've ever had in my entire life - I had to do a session that same morning. Nothing like torturing someone's balls for an hour to make you retch into the garbage can forever afterwards. I swear it took every ounce of willpower to not puke on the motherfucker.
The only thing that's ever helped me was sleep. And hydration.

Emergen-C and hash browns! Hash browns are so helpful, the greasier the better.

Pedialyte is amazing for a hangover, but it's better if you chug half the bottle before you go to sleep on the drinking night. Works wonders~!

Not sure why, but if I already have a hangover cola really helps to settle my stomach, even more so than ginger ale. Maybe the caffeine helps? I used to never drink soda, but I'm going to start keeping diet coke in my place at all times cause it seems to work. Then I overdose on carbs and rehydrating drinks and water, sometimes after a really bad one, I'll get McDonald's... I already feel disgusting, and someone once told me that greasy food helps to soak up the alcohol or something... why not?

yes anything greasy helps to break down any remaining alcohol molecules left in your body. So grease and water and electrolytes!
