    Default Do you believe?

777 being a lucky day and lucky number is just a superstition. But do you believe it is lucky?

If something lifechanging happened to you on 7-7-07, would you concider it a sign?
    Just for example...
Lets say on 7-7-07 you suddently got a job offer on the other side of the world. It's a great offer, but you never concidered moving. Woudl you take into concideration that it happened on a supposed lucky day, and concider that a sign that the job offer is something you should take?

Just an example...I'm not moving. I just wonder how many people actualyl concider 7-7-07 a luck day, and would take that day into concideration for decisions they needed to make?

Variety is the spice of life...

My wife sold corporate cellular telephone service in Los Angeles during the early 1990's and she was amazed by the number of Asian businesses (predominantly Chinese & Korean owned) that had issues with certain numbers. She and her partner would run computer-generated searches for acceptable/preferred numbers that were still available...

To me its just supersition which some poeple believe in because they think "luck" can make a difference, rather than making the difference themselves.

Also, my big complaint is 7/7/7 was 2000 years ago, so there is no real point behind it, just a slow news days with some soft-news.

I think if you really believe in something and think positive good things will follow . These #'s have no special meaning to me.

Maybe I have some Chinese somewhere in me - lol - I have always had a huge preference for the number 8! I even have it tattooed on me.

As for what Kaylinn is asking - I think numbers can hold a strong significance if you put those kind of importances on them. I would have to be already seriously thinking about moving or transition to accept that specific job offer because of the significance of the date. I would take it as a good sign that doors were meant to be opening in that direction. I wouldn't take the job JUST because of the date though - there would have to be other circumstances making it a viable option.

I personally don't think 7/7/2007 is some powerfully lucky day. I read my horoscope at the coffee shop I go to every morning, (it's posted there) and I read my fortune cookies, but for me it's just a superstition I don't really subcribe to those beliefs.

I think things are lucky if one thinks they are.

I'm cynical. I can't wait to hear about how long these 07/07/"07" marriages last...

After reading the above posts, I surfed for "9" stuff, 'cause I need something to look forward to in 2009 besides a new President...

    According to Rajuna's Refuge (
"The number 9 is the number of regeneration. A new birth. Spirituality, self-extension, premonition, going forth, voyaging." And that's just for starters...

    Groovy!

I had a friend who turned 11 on the 11th of the 11th and 11am. She died the next day. So I kinda am not into thinking numbers mean much.

But whoa, jade.. you actually know Mandarin?! TEACH ME!!

    Okay, 2 corny number jokes:

    Q: "Why is 6 scared of 7?"
    A: "Because 7 ate 9!"
    (An old grammar school riddle)

    Q: "Why is 77 better than 69?"
A: "Because you get 8 more."

Now that I think of it, I'm not sure if the one sentence I know is Cantonese or Mandarin... it ends in (omg spelling) joo-seppi-wa... any idea? :x

I don't believe in lucky numbers so it's a moot question for me.
