    Default Icky Thump

I love the White Stripes (they're playing here tonight!!!), and I often dance to Seven Nation Army and Blue Orchid...sometimes Black Math.

I want to dance to Icky Thump, because it's awsome, but there's all that feedback squealing at the end that I know doesn't float quite everyone's boat.

Would it be too indulgent and annoying to dance to this? Does this kind of crazy sound piss off customers/ djs?

They have some decent tunes, but I really can't stand the purposely low-fi recording thing. I think it sounds like ass in the club. Just my opinion, of course. I haven't heard the new one, though.

Just to be safe and not piss off anyone, I'd save it for the enjoyment of your own home

i dance to it when it's really slow and/or no one has tipped the last 5/6 girls on stage anyway.

there are certain "iffy" songs i save for those occasions. the dj and manager both know and don't care. my manager was djing one day (he does on some mondays) and it was ridiculously dead in the club. just a few loser customers not spending any money. i was talking to him before my set, debating "wether or not" i should play a certain song and he was like "play whatever the hell makes you happy when it's like this".

so i say, if you really want to dance to it, wait for a good time to test it out.

If you dance to Smashing Pumpkins "Drown" before or after then it can be blamed on the Dj or the clubs shitty system.

I love the hell out of this song and play it in the club all the time. I play icky thump in a dub set with some Black Keys usually.

I love this song and it gets played at work often....I love smirking when Jack gets to the "immigrant" part. Go Jack and Meg!

I *heart* this song. I honestly think it'd be awesome to see a girl dance to it, but then again I'm only one person. So yea, try it out sometime and see how it goes.

I've danced to it maybe twice so far. I'm a big fan of theirs, but it's not a crowd pleaser. I usually dance to Blue Orchid, My Doorbell, and Denial Twist.

Thumbs up on the Black Keys. They are from Akron where I dance and I got to dance for the drummer for his bachelor party recently. His friends died when I danced to one of their songs on stage cause they thought no one recognized him.

I dance to this song all the time. I love "Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground" too. The White Stripes are my moneymaker!

Fuck that! Play it and see what kind of reaction you get. If it doesn't go well then you've learned that it doesn't go well, or you might have a great new song to dance to.
