I've washed and washed and the garlic smell doesn't come out.
Any tips?

How long have you had them?
When I got acrylics, I'd get them taken off and completly redone about every other month or so.
I use lemon juice on my real nails after cutting up garlic so maybe that will help. Just a quick soak seems to do the trick. I don't know if it will hurt your acrylics though so better check on that first.

Is the smell from cutting up garlic, or possibly something else?
If it is actual garlic, I know that they sell stainless steel bars in kitchen stores that you are supposed to rub your hands over while running them under cold water.
I also know that you don't need to buy the bar...a stainless steel spoon will work just as well.

It's from actual garlic. I've only had the nails for 3 days.

Queen of clean it's a book my mom gave me and it has all kinds of little tips and tricks, to get anything out from clothes to pet odors.... and all the stuff she tells you to use are things you use on a daily, like vinigar, baking soda, lemon juice, etc.. hope this helps i know it helped me
I have that book and I like it a lot... I haven't found anything on nails, though.
I know it's early, but I'd suggest giving in and just getting a very early fill/repair. Or, call the salon. I've had them give me some good nail tips before.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
Did you try using Non-Acetone nail polish remover on them? Don't use any kind with acetone though that will eat your nails.

lemons

Yes I agree soak them in pure undiluted lemon juice at full strength. After
you finish that you can also do a hand treatment with lemon juice, sugar,
and honey (mix all three ingredients together to form a paste, then massage all over your hands for a smoothing moisturizing treatment. If the lemon juice does not work to get rid of the odors just remove them (which is a pain soaking them forever and all).

Lemon juice and orange juice..
