Me too! To which I shall add:

If it's a mostly empty theatre, and I have my feet on a totally empty chair, in a totally empty row, don't effin sit IN THAT SEAT and demand I put my effin feet down. You have eleventy seven other seats, most of them just as good a view if not better, keep ambling, fuckstick!

It has to be talking and cell phone crap for me. I went one evening, with one of my cousins, to see the remake of "War of the Worlds." One woman, either late forties or early fifties, had been talking through all of the ads and the trailers as well. I don't care about the ads, but I would like to watch the trailers in peace and quiet. The theater was about half full, as the movie had been out for a few weeks.

The woman was about to continue talking at, not with, her friend, who had more common sense. She finally became very quiet when the woman behind her and a couple seats over screamed "Shut Up!" at her as the movie was starting. Of course, the woman behind her was also glaring at her as though she was about ready to pull out her tongue and tie it into a Gordian Knot!

I went to see a movie alone, I believe it was "The Truman Show", the man next to me started snoring.

Do not bring your babies or young whiney children...because if I hear even a little bitty "waaa" or "mommy" I will get out of my seat and beat your kids...

I have been to a theater maybe...3 times in the last 2 years. I hate people in general, so let's add in the 9.50 for a ticket, maybe some 'corn or a drink. Then I get to deal with everything everyone mentioned above. No thanks. I'll buy/rent the dvd when it comes out in 2 months. I always bring my own candy though, if I want some. Giant bag of Swedish Fish from WaWa across the street= $1.19. Bag about 1/3 the size at your obnoxious place of business=$3.50

I will go see certain films at the theater, and yeah, as several said, I go on a Monday or Tuesday for one of the first showings. There's a Mexican place right around the corner that offers a deal for a flick and lunch, it's like 12 bucks.

Is it ridiculous to anyone else that I can wait maybe what, 6 months, TOPS, and BUY the stupid movie for about 3-6 dollars more than a theater ticket? We actually have this dvd vending machine at my grocery store, movies are $1 a day to rent. You can't beat that with a stick. Even if it sucks, hey...it's a dollar. I'm not cheap, but I believe in getting value for my money. Why pay more to be constantly annoyed? Enough movies come out that I can always be watching something, even if I'm not "current". My living room is much comfier than those craptastic chairs, anyway.

It is a movie theater for serious film and food and beer lovers. 18+ only. Huge beer, wine, champagne list. Great food! Salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, appetizers.
The theaters are smaller than the ginormous cineplexes around, but they have a normal row of movie theater seats, then a row of tall narrow tables, then the next row of seats. This eliminates anyone being able to kick your chair or block your view. There are menus placed every other seat. To order you just write what you want on a provided piece of paper/pencil and raise it in the little slot on the table. Waiter comes right over, because there is space between your table and the next row of seats. This helps if you need to go to the bathroom too, you never have to disturb anyone!

It's seriously the best thing to happen to movies ever. I wonder if they have them or similar ones outside of texas?

Ha and no i don't have any stake in this company or anything, i just praise it for saving my film experience!
yeah we have something similar in wichita, Warrren Theatres. been around for years! we dont have towrite down our orders though, we press a button on the arm rest and the waiter/waitress comes and takes the order during the ads/previews and a thingy sends it to the kitchen electronically.

no one under 18 allowed in after 9. but some parents think its ok to show up at 845 with their young children for a 920 showing... i'm sorry. NOT ok. i have complained several times, and each time, management will ask them to leave.

the restaurant/movie theatre here serves all kinds of pretty good food and their drink specials are pretty good too!
for a while in their sports bar area they had rocky horror every 2nd saturday at midnight, which was fun. they also had the worlds largest tv or something... but i think someone built a bigger one recently. *shrugs* whatever.

but to add to the rules:

when i ask you to stop kicking my chair/talking/being loud/throwing things/being annoying in some other way, respect it, because i WILL find you in the parking lot and beat your ass down if you raise hell about your "right" to be a douchebag.

and there are cry rooms for a reason-go watch the movie in there with your crying and screaming children.

and there are cry rooms for a reason-not so that 13 year olds can have sex in them during the movie!
