In a few days, I'm going to embark on a long solo camping trip. No alcohol, no weed, no other drugs...just me, a tent, bodies of water that I intend to swim in, fruit, nuts, journals, books and myself. No stripping, no cell phone, no internet...just nature.
I'm 23, I drink a lot, I have very little savings, I have no degrees, and I've been stripping for two years. Goddamn, I'm smarter than this. All this is for another thread, though. Right now I need to focus on the future, instead of internally whining about how I feel so old and unaccomplished for my age.
When I get back from my adventure, I need to go talk to a financial advisor or an accountant. I wonder if an accountant could serve the role as a financial advisor, or what I should do. I am just so confused, and wish someone could just swoop down and tell me what to do.
Where should I look? Portland girls, are there any good accountants that you use? Good financial advisors? I'm not ready to quit stripping yet, and I need to accept that.
I know I need to have weekly goals, monthly goals, investment goals, the goal to buy a house here (I'm gonna stick around for a while), and educational goals. I also need to accept that at some point, I need to have some sort of exit strategy for this business, although I think I can do it for a lot longer, being that I'm 23 now and during every shift guys tell me I look like a teen.
I've searched the threads incessantly, but is there any advice as to what a good, simple place to start would be? Should I go see a financial advisor or an accountant first? Are there services that offer both?

. Don't get down on yourself. But definitely take the time you need to refocus and recharge. I really want to talk to a financial advisor/accountant as well, but I don't have a clue as to a reputable one.
Start now and you'll be amazed at how far you've come even a year from now.
