I usually eat carbs before work for energy. But I get insanely hungry during my shift.
Would protein keep me fuller for longer?
I work 10 hour shifts til about 5 or 6 am, we have a very late licence.

Combo of complex carbs, lean protein and fiber. The fiber and protein will slow down the absorbtion rate and make sure you don't crash or feel hungry.
Yeah, eat both. A turkey sandwich (or something similar) would be fast and fit the bill.
Soy protein also takes longer to digest and absorb, so you feel full longer.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I usually eat a lot of protein (grilled chicken or steak stips) before work and never feel hungry. OTOH, anything with carbs makes me feel bloated and soo not pretty and pretty soon after I am wanting more food.

Here is a list of complex carbs.
The one thing I would remove is potatoes and replace it with sweet potatoes. Complex carbs plus chicken or other protein source and wallah dinner before work.

thanks!
i have a really fast metabolism, im prob being unrealistic thinking i can have just one meal i n 10 hours. i need to go to work prepared tho instead of getting crappy junk food when i am there.

I just make everything before hand put it in little bowls then freezing them. When I need to leave I grab one and go to work. Grab some fruit with you and packet of oatmeal if you can. Or even an MRP so you don't starve those 10 hours.
