Default What's a decent income in portland?

Ok, i know how rude it is to ask how much a person makes, so I am NOT doing that. I just want to know what an attractive girl should be able to expect to make in Portland, OR, in general.

I've been dancing for a year, but I've only been at one club. It's a small, neighborhood place, But some regulars help me out a lot. I'd like to branch out to other places, but when I read reviews and comments, I don't know what it means when a girl says she "did ok, average," etc. can anyone give me some idea as to what I should expect, so I can know before I stay at a club making less than I reasonably could be making somewhere else? I know Portland is a little different, since we have sooo many clubs for a small city, and air dances are a pretty hard sell.

Also, anyone have any advice on what bigger clubs a girl should check out? One that has decent enough money, but not too cut throat or difficult for a gal who's used to tiny, friendly little dives? Thanks.

Here is a pretty good thread http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...erage+earnings

I wrote a big ass response but then SW pulled some crap on me and it's lost. I don't have the time to retype it now, sorry.

You know that there's no answer to this question because it's different for everyone. And also, you'd have to tell us what you're making for us to be able to tell you if you can "expect" to make more. Are you making $200 or less a shift? Then yes, you can make more. Are you averaging $500 a shift? If so, you're doing great for Portland and should be a happy girl.

I usually make under 200. On a good night, 200-250. Occasionally-very rarely- 300 or a little bit over. Hmm. Maybe I'll try to step it up. But I think you answered my question pretty well, Susan. Thanks, to both of you.

I'd say 250-300 is a good average amount, bad night being 150 or lower, good night anything between 300-400. Honestly, for Portland, I am always happy to leave with 300. However, there are nights thrown in that are around 500 or more as well. The most I've ever made was 800.
I guess I dont mind talking amounts of money made. I think it helps to know what others are making, but I wouldnt actually talk about it IN the club, just on this site.

I'm glad if that helped. You certainly can make more than you are in PDX. Check out other clubs, and I'm a big advocate of mixing up one dance-sale heavy club with one good stage tips club -- and on a night shift at the better ones you can certainly clear $300-$600 just in stage tips. Unfortunately there's probably only four of those (205, Sassy's, Mary's, Acropolis) with only 3-8 dancers on shift, but when you're in there it's a nice steady gig. Then you can work the busier shifts at the dance sales clubs (Dolphins, Stars, Exotica, Viewpoint) and clear about the same amount.

I want PDX dancers to raise their expectations because if we can get enough girls to quit dancing at dives for $50 a shift maybe some of the surplus clubs will get their shit together or go back to being regular bars. I swear, if we were only left with the above mentioned clubs and Union Jack's and Devil's Point, the city would be a stripper mecca instead of the strip club capital.

    Susan

Thank you so much for the great advice! I'm psyching myself up to go audition at some new places. Maybe as soon as next week. Thanbks to everyone who offered their advice and input, I have a much clearer picture now.
