    "Peter, did you take Stewie to a strip-club? He smells like sweat and fear." - Lois and Stewie (Family Guy) ... "Through early morning fog I see, Visions of the things to be, The pains that are withheld for me, I realize and I can see..."

    I think this movie promotes a stereotype that I am soooooo upset with! I saw the ad and I was like WTF man? why does it have to be that the Black person has to come in to a golf club and "ruin" the place? act uncivilized and shit. I will not see this movie.

    Three points, HHL:

    1. This appears to be a twist on the movie Caddyshack ( 1981? ), where Rodney Dangerfield ruins ( to use your word ) a country club;

    2. Guaranteed they make more fun of the stuffy white characters than the uncivilized black ones;

    3. I'll bet they are shooting for a primarily black audience.

    Finally, its just a movie.

    Good points but it just doesn't appeal to me at all.

    Promote a stereotype? This must be another dastardly attempt to tarnish the distinguished image of the african american male.

    I'm black (with reservation), and I'm only offended that this movie ripped off Caddyshack more than any thing else. Movies like this, Soul Plane, and television shows like, BET's Hot Ghetto Mess, only exist because there are people, black people, out there who want to see it.

    Watch Cordelia on The Bad Girls Club on Oxygen

    Another good point, I just said "I didn't find it right" and I will not watch it, looks corny.

    Poking a little fun at people, black or white, is not a big deal. I'm fairly sure this movie isn't going to portray either whites or blacks in a particularly favorable light. I doubt anyone will be led to emulate any of the characters in the movie, and you have to think the black characters will prevail in the end in this movie.

    IMO, no one does more harm to impressionable young blacks (and the way they are perceived) than some of the young black celebrities and athletes who behave in an uncivilized manner and are de facto role models for their community.
