Default Work outfit: Would this work?

Well, that about sums up my question... I'm tired of wearing the same old shit night after night, and I want to try something different. I've been wanting to do something goth/punk for a while now. However I started pretty goth/punk and quite obviously it didn't work then because I was so new, so I've been sort of afraid of trying it out again in fear of being rejected by the customers. I tend to wear more over-grown barbie/trailer trash stuff, like a neon pink tube dress so tight you can see my bellybutton and tattoos through it, or faux denim bikinis, or just a short skirt with a matching bikini or something.

I suppose this is just a short skirt with a bikini too but it's really different from my usual... Most money custies we have are middleaged, married and pretty conservative, those of you who already wear stuff like this, does it work on custies like that? Can you see it working? Any suggestions to make it better?

I've got to wear the fishnet sleeves because I've got so many tattoos I make like a third of the usual if my arms are bare, and I've got to wear the fencenets at the moment because my legs are too bruised up from pole practice to go without something to at least draw attention away from the bruising. I suppose knee-high boots might be good enough, the bruises on my inner thighs aren't as bad as the ones on my calves.

My apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum, please move where appropriate if that's the case!

So yea, here it is. I suppose it's pretty standard but I feel nervous about this. It's not good nervous or bad nervous I suppose, I feel like I'll either bank like crazy or fail miserably with no middle ground!

looks good to me. Does your club allow you to have tattoo's? I know a few girls who have very punk looks and lots of tattoos that arent covered that bank. I always see them up in the CR.

Thanks The management has actually often requested that I don't cover my tattoos. But you see, at least my regular clientele is the 50-year-old conservative men, so I lose a considerable amount of income even if the club enforces and would like to see "variety" among the girls. I get written off before I even get to the sales pitch. You can still see my tattoos through the sleeves, but they don't "stick out" so a lot of customers are willing to write them off.

It makes me feel insecure and naked to work with my tattoos visible (and obviously it makes me very recognizable out in the public), plus the tattoos are an even easier subject for nasty customers to pick on me than breast implants are. I don't feel comfortable having to start half the conversations with having to sell my tattoos to the customers before I can sell my services. It's more trouble than it's worth, plus they still see bits and pieces of my tattoos and the piece I have on my thigh so the customers who are actually into it can get their fix too. I even get VIPs by promising to show them my tattoos since I can't out in public because I'd lose income...

Honestly, I love the outfit. But for the club? No.

Why? Too much material! You look like you're going dancing at a club, not stripping in an SC. Now I know as a stripper you don't always have to wear one strand of fabric, but you are way too covered up in that outfit. I can't really see much of you at all, not to mention that's not a lot of skin to be showing if you're a stripper. Just my honest opinion. Main thing is the skirt is too long.

I know once I did an experiment. I wore an outfit to work once that was very pretty and sexy, but covered more than 99% of the other girls. Maybe some customers would appreciate this I though?

Went out with the same confidence, same hustle, same everything.

Hardly anyone was interested. But as soon as I modified the outfit to show more skin? Got 3 dances right away.

Take my experiment for what it's worth.

I think you need a smaller skirt and I would switch to thigh highs if possible. I would do opaque over the knee socks like Cher in Clueless.

Honestly tho? That is not punk to me, that's a schoolgirl outfit.

I also wanted to add that I KNOW from pics that you have a killer body, and in that picture I really can't tell. It doesn't show you off.

Smaller skirt. Thigh highs instead of full stockings. Also, can you modify your fishnet sleeves into gloves? I think gloves would look better than the full sleeves. The outfit is cute though.

I think the shrug is enormously unflattering on you, and the skirt is too big. Go with a much smaller skirt, lose the shrug, and switch to thigh-highs. I agree that it doesn't really look punk, but you can make it more punky with makeup and hair.

Well a lot of girls beat me too it - but I just wanted to agree that the skirt needs to be a LOT smaller! Other than that, I think it's cute. If not thigh highs, maybe some black boots?

Pretty much just wanted to agree with the girls who say 1-shorter skirt, 2-thigh highs, and 3-gloves instead of what you have on now.
I also agree that boots would be more punk/goth.

If i were you I'd just cut that skirt off. I like the thick band at the top. Just cut it off so that there's a little ruffle under it. I have a skirt like that that I made and it looks very pop punk.

Thank you for the honest opinions everyone! Probably the custies are different in Finland then because I had a record night last night

Those fencenets are thigh-high but you can yank them up below your butt or wear them just above the knee, whatever you wish. I wore them higher than I'm used to simply to camoflage the bruising on the inside of my thigh. I'm sure boots (and make-up for the inner thigh) would've worked better though.

Just to add, I'm not any more covered up like that than most of our other girls are. Usually the only time you see very skimpy clothing is on an unattractive girl who uses the "hey I might not be attractive but I look slutty" tactics. I'm sort of middle ground when it comes to coverage, there might be one or possibly two girls who'd wear the same length skirt and a bikini without anything more, but then again for each one of those there'll be someone who'll wear stocking, a short dress and a long robe, or full trousers, boots and a spaghetti strap top for example. Considering all that it was probably stupid to even ask here Just got to take a risk and try it at the club it seems...

Make the skirt shorter. Other than that it looks cute.

I think the skirt is borderline fine. It's not TOO long but it COULD be shorter. It still works for older guys! I kinda figured that the fence nets were really high thigh highs. I love em. And I prefer shrugs to sleeves. Sleeves are too '90s IMHO. I think shrugs are ok if they're on rare occasion, but with this? I dig it. Rock on!

I've got to go see if they still have these skirts left at the store I bought it from. I'm afraid to chop up my only one but if I find another one I'm going to take 2" off the top, I think it'd work better like that. This I might still wear OTC too so I don't want to make it TOO short, unless I find a nice and easy way to make it adjustable. Got to mess around with it more.

I had an OK dayshift yesterday too, far better than my usual, and my skirt and funnily enough SHOES got a lot of compliments even if the shoes are just old junk! I think either the fencenets or the skirt complements the shoes so guys take note of it more. Or then it was just a shoeperv who likes anything red with a high heel.

IMHO, It has appeal because it has more of the slutty girl next door look, with out having the why bother its going to be off in 60 seconds look. Trying new things will make you stand out, in a good way.

I agree with all this, with one more suggestion in mind...

Rather than wearing a shrug, you can wear one of these fishnet shirts instead.

    Here's the link :http://www.welovecolors.com/Shop/FishnetShirts.htm

A girl at my work wears these, and she cuts the shirt just above her breasts so that her breasts and her tummy are exposed. It sounds weird, but it looks really hot.

Yea, but I'd have to either take the shirt off (and expose the tattoos) or pull it behind my neck (which would look stupid) to go topless on stage, so I prefer shrugs to shirts. I do think it looks hot to have a hot pink cut fishnet shirt over a black bikini for example.

For Saturday I added plaid-texture cuffs on top of the shrug so it looked like those were the cuffs that belonged to it. Also I tore my fencenets and bought a new pair of boots from another girl so I wore those instead (this pair of boots). It was the worst Saturday ever, although I think it was more the drunken young guys that filled the club and scared off the usual big spenders than my actual clothing. Once I removed the shrug and just sat at the bar looking like I was going to punch someone I actually got one VIP. It was a lousy one with no tip but still. Funny how it goes. I'm thinking maybe in the future if we have a younger audience I should go with my arms bare because it'll make me stick out more.

I think zach's "slutty girl next door look" describes why it appealed to the older guys so well.

Wow, I feel so conservative 'cause I'm like, what a slutty outfit to wear out. I mean, the skirt should be shorter for work, but I wouldn't wear that out.

I think it's perfectly hot for work; I wear something similar quite often (fishnet longsleeved top, plaid tearaway skirt, bikini top) and do quite well. I disagree that it's a schoolgirl outfit. Once you add the fishnet it ceases to be one.

Oh, it doesn't look that stupid when you put it behind your neck. But here is a neat shrug pattern that I made in several different colors of spandex last fall when I needed to cover up my shoulders:

No, you don't have to take the shirt off or pull it up anywhere. Just cut the shirt ABOVE your boobs so that your boobs and tummy are already exposed and your arms and clavicle are covered. A girl I work with does that and I know it sounds weird but it's looks hot. She pairs it with either a bikini top or a tube top. I wish I had a photo. *running off to find photo*.

I think that outfit is slammin'. Girl, if thats what you want to wear then do it. Do what you do and don't let nobody give you no grief, and if the custy don't like it well... thats just a risk u gots to take. Be who you are and never fear, the paper will come near.
