Hi, I had both done. The breasts will hurt the most. The nose does not hurt at all (didn't for me) I wanted it more refined. It is just weak and you have to be very careful. It will be swollen for a while and will gradually cange in time- over the year. When is your suregery? I had mine in January, and took time off in the winter. Good luck!
I just had a nose job about a month and a half ago. Recovery was pretty terrible for me because I had packing in both sides, so i couldn't breathe through my nose for a week. That also means its hard to swallow and its hard to sleep because my mouth kept getting extremely dry. Get ambien! So far I like it, its an improvement but it think he was a little too conservative. but then again it hasn't been very long, so hopefully it will refine more as time goes on.
GOOD LUCK!
Boobs. It felt like glass chards were in my chest during recovery, but I don't regret it for one second. I love them. But definitely have someone to help you after surgery. I couldn't lift my hands up to wash my hair when recovering.

modlgirl- what did you have done to your nose exactly? im having a full nose job, bones broken, tip narrowed, the works. surgery date is august 9th! would you say you were decent and out in public within 2 wks or longer?
naughty-princess- what did you have done to yours? im sure it will refine even more since you just had it really. do you have any pics by any chance to share?
vivacious-ah dont scare me! yeah i will have help for the first 3 or 4 days. wow, how long until you could use your arms?
I've had the boobs done. If you have a high tolerance for pain it's not bad. If you're pain threshold is low then you may hate it with a passion the first day or two, but it gets easier very quickly! I had my daughter naturally so NOTHING phases me!! I plan to have lipo in the very near future to define my abs more. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!
It seems every dr gives differant advice. But for me..after my BA(which hurt less then the lipo I got at the same time) I could sit up and get around the house by myself after a cpl days. After a week or two I could raise my arms up to shoulder height...after 4 weeks I could lift my arms over my head. Well..I COULD do that before, but dr's orders said not to.
I followed dr's orders to a T and I am proud to say that mine is one of the best boob jobs I've ever seen(if I do say so myself!). Many people have no idea they arent real, even when I am naked.
It all depends too on what "look" you are going for. Some girls(like me) want them to look super-natural...some want the fake porn boobs look. Talk to your dr..be clear(and make sure your caretaker is very clear since you will be out of it the first dy or so) about what you need to do and not do after surgery. make sure you make it to your follow up appt's on time so the dr can catch anything that goes wrong right away.
Good luck!! It's exciting!!
I have implants and have a high tolerance for pain, but damn they hurt. Only for about 3-4 days though. I was sore for about a week, that was it. You will do fine I'm sure. Mine was so bad because my Dr only gave me a 2 day supply of Vicoden (like 8 pills I think). The worst was the muscle spasms. I used to work out pretty heavily so more muscle definition=more spasms while they are stretching out. (At least this is what my Dr told me).

oh i am scheduled to have rhinoplasty too.
my surgeon has told me that he will remove the packing the following day after surgery. then i have to rest for a week. can go to classes (uni/college) the 2nd week, go back to work 2 weeks later but no physical exercise for 6 weeks (except walking).
I have also been told by many that it doesnt hurt.
my mum has had rhinoplasty and she said it was not painful.

I had a boob job. I have a very low pain threshold and it was painful for me, but I don't regret it all. I am dying to have my nose done!!
I had my boobs and nose done all at the same time. Because of the boob pain I didn't notice any nose pain. But they didn't break my nose, they shaved down a bump and then they removed cartilage (sp?.) I had bruises on my face only for like 2 days, and when I had to go to the city to see the doc they were easy to cover up (you never know who you'll see.) Once they took my nose things off I was out and about like less then 10 days later. My boobs were fine too. Went back to work after three weeks because I was insanely bored (I had saved up 4 grand for bills and what not so it wasn't the money.)
My sister got a nose job where they broke her nose and she looked like hell for a week, but after that she was fine.
Ohhhh..another thing. When I first saw my nose and for the first six months I wasn't happy with it. Now i am pretty happy with it. My doctor said it takes like 6 months for the swelling to go completely down. I'm happy with everything pretty much.

I got my boobs done. Yeah, it hurts, but beauty is pain, right?Seriously, the recovery is only like 2 - 6 weeks of your life, and then after that you'll have beautiful big boobies! It's so worth it. Just keep taking your meds as long as you feel like you need them (usually a strong painkiller -- vicodin, etc -- and a muscle relaxer), and don't try to do too much. I couldn't drive until 2 weeks after. Couldn't sleep on my side until 6 weeks after. Now that I think about it, not being able to sleep on my side was the worst part! I hate sleeping on my back.
But don't worry about it too much! If you want to do it, then do it! The result is soooo worth the recovery time.

Oh god where do I start ...
5 boob jobs, three lip augmentations, two lipos ... never had to do anything with the nose though !
Oh my gosh, I'm getting rhinoplasty and breast augmentation/mastopexy done on August 1st in NY. I was just about to post that very same question. THANKS LILHOTMAMA!!!
Questions on the boob job --- how long before the swelling goes down, and also, what do I wear to work (not the club - I have another job in a professional setting) as far as bras and tops??? What can I do to minimize the swelling right away?
I will probably post these same questions on a different thread.

thanks for all your responses, yall are great. I am so ready for this but Im sooo nervous already!!! But Ive been wanting to do this for some time now, Im gonna be a big brave dog...
CURVYGIRL-yaaayy!! we're having it about the same time so we can heal togetherwhat is a mastopexy? What are you having done to your nose?
I'm getting a rhinoplasty. I have kind of a big nose, no sinus problems or anything like that. This is just purely vanity. I also think it would help me look a little younger, and hopefully, maybe "soften" my looks more.
For the boob job, I have big breasts already - 34C on a small frame, but they droop. The doc doesn't want to cut into them to lift them, but rather putting in the smallest implant (250 cc, I believe is what he said), and that would sort of lift the breasts and making them a 32D ... god, I hope that's not too big on me!
Where are you getting yours done? Mine is in NYC.
I've only done my nose. It wasn't painful but just quite uncomfortable as far as I felt really lethargic and couldn't breath through my nose for a while. Just take the pain meds they give you and you'll be fine.
Dr. Z. Paul Lorenc. I've seen him on Larry King, read his book, see his name in tons of magazines as far as opinions. I can't wait to them done!

ok either my doctor was great or i am an anomoly but i had my beasts done and i have a very LOW threshhold for pain but it didnt hurt hardly at all I went to the movies that night with a friend im the same person who stubs a toe and cries for an hour so i dont know
the swelling went down after a month (the major part of the swelling) took a good 6 months for them to drop and i was working a month after i got them done woulda been sooner but my friend wouldnt let me risk it
