    The most cost-effective (free, hopefully) option might be to schedule an appointment with an academic counselor at the nearby community college where you'll be studying Elementary Mandarin.

    Many community colleges prepare students for declaring majors that follow distinct school/career paths (i.e., ungergrad-to-graduate-doctoral program, adjunct training, etc) that your counselor might be able to map clearly with you based on your specific needs & situation...

    The best way I would think is to link into the post-grad support system of one of the schools you are interested in. They probably have a list of such individuals in your area.

    BTW, while we are on the subject, is it needed to point out the obvious: That it is just possible that if you are willing to judge the worth of someone simply by what you read on a website about them it might say a whole hell of a lot more about you than it says about the person you are judging?
