I laugh at horror movies. I wonder if that makes me desensitized.

My friend dragged me to that movie when it first came out and I still haven't forgiven him. I can't imagine why anyone would want to watch such horribly disgusting, gruesome violence. I had to walk out of it but those images are stuck in my brain and I really wish I'd never gone to that damn movie at all.

Sometimes, I think the whole point of horror flicks is to laugh at them! They are exaggerated and over the top...

Have you seen "Cabin Fever" or "Slither"? Those..those right there are some serious gigglers...
If everything you try is a sure thing, you aren't taking enough risks. If you never fail, you put a limit on the degree to which you can succeed. In short, the only way to win big is to risk losing

I agree..I made my bf leave with me after the raping scene in the first one, that was just...crossing the line in my opinion. I like scary movies a lot actually but I prefer ones that contain a bit of suspense that aren't just for gruesome shock value. And I saw some youngsters in the movie theater which is pretty sad if a parent would allow their child to see those kinds of movies. Yuck..that's a whole other tangent though.

Which one? There was a Hills Have Eyes made in the 70's. That was pretty interesting. Then there was the remake which was interesting. And then there is the second one that came out recently on DVD.

It's a remake of a 70's shitty grindhouse flicker show, what do you expect. Of course it's terrible!

Some horror movies are "worthy".....while others just are for fun/"slasher type" ya know.
